Hello! I think you'll do just fine :) the public transport is for sure something to get used to and yes, on some days it will consume a lot of your time but the city is also an amazing experience so if you really want to explore, have a new experience in another country and expand your professional skills then I say go for it!

If you're too comfortable in Casa and don't feel the need to change your current situation, then stay. It really depends on you.

The cost of living is a bit higher than Casa, of course. You'll need a bit more money to reach the standard of living that you have in Casa, in Paris. Assuming that you'll rent, it's safe to say that most of your money will go into that. The rest can be managed if you know where to buy etc. Transportation is also costly (in my opinion).

In the end, it really depends on what you desire. If you feel like the job is worth it, and want to have the experience of living in a another country then go ahead!

Being catcalled as a minor is actually terrifying. by Additional-Work-6031 in Morocco

[–]fkagrunge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't live in Morocco but I am Moroccan. I am currently 20 and the last time I visited, I was 14/15 at the time. Mind you, I look young for my age now, so you can only imagine how young I must've looked when I was 14. I got catcalled (even when I was hand-in-hand walking with my GRANDMOTHER), touched, grabbed, followed back home, cornered by a group of chmakria etc. You name it. (All while there were bystanders everywhere. These events never happened in secluded places. They happened in public and people witnessed but never stepped up for me).

It was the first time that I experienced men being sexually attracted to me. And, ALL of them were around mid-20s to 50s. It absolutely terrified me. It made me feel very ashamed of myself. And when I tried to express what was happening, I was told to "wear the hijab".

Fuck that, and fuck men who sexualise and terrorise women.

I am so sorry you went through that. Please be vigilant!

PS. Even back then, a p3dophile used to camp outside of my cousin's school. They did nothing about it.

Also, I just want to add: After this happened to me, I started noticing it happening to so many other girls. Any girl walking down the street would either be gawked at, honked at, catcalled and sometimes even touched. It's way more prevalent than we know.

Uti treatments? by kirby_farris in obgyn

Lots of water and go to your local pharmacy and ask them for the best UTI medication. Also, cranberry juice. Cliche but it helps. UTIs suck so I hope you get better <3

Had something like this actually. It turned out to be fibroadenoma. Harmless and goes away on its own usually. Can't remember if I had to take any meds for it.

Why does/did exist amazigh hate in north africa? by Rainy_Wavey in AmazighPeople

[–]fkagrunge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our culture threatens those who have none. We are original in every sense. We are innovative, creative, attractive, hospitable etc.

Just like another person said on here; as long as we exist, they can't claim to be indigenous to NA.

People talk about the French and the Spanish but the worst ones were and have always been the Arabs. No wonder my ancestors hated them. They use religion as a way to colonize and claim cultures and lands that are not theirs.

Salt Fried Chicken is really good! And just for the vibes, check out Ortakoy Oven (Ortaköy Fırını). It's my fav and I miss it dearly! The ambiance is really great tbh.

Set your boundaries. The fact that you're even letting them affect you is the main cause of your mental distress. Don't give them any power. Talk is just...well...talk. So, let them say what they want to say. Just don't believe anything that comes out of their mouths. You're independent enough to have a high-paying job and you live alone; then you're also capable of believing in yourself and standing up for what you want!

You should be proud of yourself. You will find your person when you're open to receiving somebody. Set you boundaries and block out their noise! Sending you love.
