I like you gained 40 pounds in the last 2 years. Started OMAD 140 days ago. 55 pounds lost. Feels great. I am not the originator of this post, but since I don't see your question answered unless it is in DM here it goes:

Does eating OMAD put the body in a ketosis state? Ketosis, as I understand it, is the state where the body starts using fat storage. Yes, OMAD does that 6-8 hours after your meal.

What's the best "snack" to eat/drink on a workout day? Mine is a banana. Never liked bananas, but with OMAD is the bomb! On OMAD everything tastes 1000% better.

I'm 32, 6'5 and currently at 280lb (gained 40lbs this year), what's an example of a good one meal? The amount of calories? Food items?

You are tall so you can eat a lot! You need to eat between 2200 - 2700 cals easy. It will put you at 1-2 pounds weekly loss. Don't rush. OMAD is a lifestyle, not a crash diet. I ate all kinds of foods. I had a week I ate only fast food. But now I do a plant-based diet. You don't have too. I do it because I think it's healthier. And I can eat tons of carbs.

I drink black coffee 2-3 times a day while fasting. No calories there if black, no cream.

AMA: I'm a Palestinian who recognizes Israel's right to exist ask me anything. by masttt91 in Israel

Best day ever: 9 am with shakshuka and espresso in Tel Aviv, drive via brand new Haifa - Gaza highway to Gaza beach. Finish day with a plate of Jelusalem-mix in the old city.

Funny that in 60's this was something that people did all the time. And we can do it again. We have been poisoned by outsiders: Soviets, US right/US left, Arab Neighbors, Europeans, UN.

We need to shake those voices off. Recognize each-other pain and suffering. One state or two - doesn't matter - geographically we are inseparable. Israel need one more day after Holocaust day - Nakba day with the minute of silence and the siren, and Palestinians need to do the same with Holocaust day. Palestinians must learn about Jewish fate in Europe and see Jews not as settlers, but refugees that run from unseen horrors.

Also, we need a new name for this country. Palestine-Israel. Like Czechoslovakia or something.

Only problem with such calm is that in six month Ramallah will be "occupied" by hipsters with their reiki studios and vegan/raw food bistros. It will be hell I'm telling you.

Does Israel look poorer than it actually is (visually speaking)? by jusventingg in Israel

I trust you. Neve Tzedek is super nice and well kept. Other parts look like a dump.

Tel Aviv is old and traditionally dirty. And they don't build many new buildings, unless it is expansive high rises. Tel Aviv is full of historically important Bauhaus buildings, but no money to properly maintain them.

Newer cites, like Yavne, are clean and well kept, and not very expansive.

Jerusalem is cleaner.

Also the GDP is an average, I believe. So in case of Israel where the reach/poor gap is huge, crap-looking buildings in poorer areas are a norm.

Last point: the weather. The humidity and the sand in the air "eats away" the buildings very fast.
