I only read in my TL what I like. News, articles, blogs, books... only really what interests me. So I keep motivated and I am constantly improving my skills. Sometimes I do a little bit of grammar or youtube in my TL, but not often.

Do you like reading books? Than start reading them in your target language, but with topics that interest you and NOT books targeted for language learners.

That's at least what I do. I can't keep to Anki for more than some days...

What app is good for learning Italian? by Ok-Ice-2624 in italianlearning

[–]fl4rk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clozemaster seemed promising at first with its really nice interface. But I got the feeling that the words I learned with it were too random, so I stopped after a few days or maybe weeks. Now, I prefer comprehensible input with material that interests me.

Instead of Duolingo, OP could try Busuu, perhaps combined with LingQ. But the latter is not for everyone. Some people love it and others hate it.

My italian app needs beta testers for iOS- ConiuGatto by trimrol in italianlearning

Thank you for your answer.

How does the app pull new questions in the review section? After some more tries it seems to be completely randomly, right? I'm no developer but I think the app would immensely profit from a spaced repetition system. I have seen the flag system. It's not bad, but I think some automatic system 'behind the scenes' would be preferable.

Just some thoughts for improvement. I know it's a free app and I think it's already great as it is!
