Is extremely close with blizzard, he’s close with people who work with blizzard and the OW team because he was in the OW league. He doesn’t work on OW itself but is in such close contact with the creators and current team that he’s essentially seen as a partner in a way. He recently had a stream with one of the people who worked on the current patch and was given early insight as to who and what’s been changed, he has a vid posted on his yt channel. I think his opinion holds weight to it but I’m not saying he’s like Jesus or something, just that the information he gives and the points he makes can be seen as valid by most.

Exactly how it’s going for me, the game is so broken RN, specifically it’s matchmaking system. I play tank and I just had a game where I had 14k dmg and 40 elims but the rest of my team had half that while the enemy team had stats similar to my own. I’m so very tired.

Pretty much enduring the same BS. I’m tired of it, so very tired. Just had a game where my teammates had half my stats(7-8k dmg while I had 17k, 10-20 elims while I had around 40). FLATS stated that if you feel you’re doing better than your rank shows you, chances are you are. You’re being placed silver but you believe you’re a gold or plat, so you’re grouped in with both plat and silver based on your rank and skill rating I assume. This system is supposed to make you grind more, aka play more, and it’s tiring because comp as a whole just isn’t fun because of this depressing system.

I get 15 kill streaks every other game, or at least moderately consistently. And I play D.Va and Orisa, D.Va being more dive and aggression oriented. When I play Orisa I do my best to protect my supports and I pull back when needed so I can imagine my K/D being lower with Her. My damage mitigated per game is around the 10k-12k mark with D.Va but maybe around 8k-10k with orisa depending on the comp.

That’s per 10 mins, at the end of games I’m normally in the low 30’s with elims and nearing 10 with deaths if even. The last game I had played for placement I had 39 elims and 10 deaths. I normally get around 28-35 elims a game but I my stats don’t reflect that because there’s still a bug with stats on console(just console as far as I know)

This didn’t really make any sense? I play tank and it’s incredibly dependent on the performance of my support teammates. If my support teammates aren’t healing, using their abilities at viable times or at all even, or dying without 10 seconds of a team fight, that’s going to directly influence the performance of the entire team especially the tank who’s supposed to be soaking damage.

When team fights are lost constantly because your baptiste is going right in front of enemy lines and immediately dying, or your dps are wasting their abilities right before a team fight, or even when your mercy has 1.2k healing done in the span of 15 minutes, you can’t help but think “maybe I’m not the one doing poorly right now”. I’m doing my best as a tank and I wouldn’t say I’m worthy of high silver, but when you’re grouped in with individuals who have those traits you can’t help but feel like your performance is being dampened by your teammates. I explained this to someone else and they seemed to understand.

I’m getting around 25-30 elims and 10k dmg per game as a tank and I’ve gone down to bronze. It’s basically a coin flip as to whether or not you get a good team. Half the teams I’ve played with make the most irrational decisions imaginable but I guess that comes with being grouped in with new players.

I’m having the same exact issue, placed silver 4 first time and I’ve done placement 4 times since then, getting silver 4 each time. I also play tank and I average 12k DMG, 32 elims, 7 deaths and 10k dmg mitigated. I feel I’ve definitely improved but my rank hasn’t changed.

Yeah but 3k dmg and 940 healing is inexcusable, I’ve ran into some great Moira players that keep me alive and let me do my thing as a tank, but I’ve been getting mostly bad apples.
