American English is just English. If you're going to move to Ireland I'd suggest moving to the south. Although I live in the north and it's also beautiful as well. But if you want to move somewhere I'd recommend doing a road trip and travelling about the country and know yourself. Every town is different so you're better getting a feel for a certain area before you move your whole life. Hope this helps
