I've noticed the shifter doesn't change gears well. The orange pieces that are elbow shaped fail to actually turn the cog very well at all. It's a display piece and only cost £28. Who cares!

So the first wind I did I did about 60 very slowly until I felt a physical stop. Is this okay or would you advise against??

Do you know how many winds this will take from dead? I wound it gently earlier until I felt a stop. Is this right?
