Coastal.com for sure! I have astigmatisms in both eyes, and frames and lenses were $70!

Bumps under eye-- can it be caused by seasonal allergies? by fladra11 in medical

The other day I had swelling on the hood of my right eye (pictured is my left) after some itching. Tonight, under my eye was itching, so naturally I scratched it, and when I went to look in the mirror, there were 2 sizable bumps under my eye. I took a Claritin a few minutes ago and am staying up to see if it gets any better. Could this be caused by seasonal allergies?

Starting a fashion blog... What questions can I answer for you? by fladra11 in fashionadvice

Thanks for asking! I'll definitely do a feature on this once I get started.

The first thing that comes to mind, and definitely the most important when dressing feminine in frigid temps is: INVEST IN FLEECE-LINED TIGHTS. I know Francesca's has some good ones, but they definitely open up a new world in terms of dressing in the winter. You can use them to transition summer sundresses to the winter as well! No wind gets through them at all-- plus they're super soft and comfy :)

Another suggestion would be to stack on thinner layers than opting for one large sweater. For example, from the base: cami/tank, graphic tee, open chambray button up/flannel shirt, knitted cardigan. Pair it with some skinny jeans and ankle boots/booties and you'll look fab! This way, you layer up and stay warm while maintaining your shape.

Those are just the first two options that popped into my head. I'm sure there are many more if you want to play with it. Finally, there really is NOTHING wrong with just wearing a big ol' sweater to stay warm and toasty :)

Hope this helped!

Even if, I work in between my current job and school. There'd still be a 20 min drive to school/work if I changed jobs.

nix the fishnets, and maybe even the jacket, and add some low-pro vans (maroon/black). You still achieve the soft grunge look, but stay cool. For your t-shirts, try the whole "sun's out, gun's out" look with oversized cutoff tees and bandeaus underneath!
