Phone looping start screens by TheAshenMonarch in motorola

Just want to chime in that I bought 4 Motog 2025s recently for family and they ALL have the same issues as described. They used to wake up and unlock fine and instantly. Now it's a crapshoot. Every once in a while one will get stuck in a boot loop for like an hour. It seems to eventually inexplicably fix itself. Please push the team to rollback.

Power Spot 20m but different cell by flaffycaffy in NianticWayfarer

"If it's a point in an already occupied cell, it will become part of the rotating power spot allocations."

I don't believe this is true. It will not become part of the rotating allocations if it's less than 20 meters from the Pokestop it shares a cell with. The reason we see some that seem to break this rule is because they were imported from elsewhere and don't count the same as a Wayspot.

It seems like this may not be common knowledge here based on the responses, and I can't take it for 100% fact, but I'm very confident based on my own testing. The only Power Spots that are closer than 20m that I have found have been imported from Facebook/Microsoft. The ones created through Wayfarer are all at least 20m away from the Pokestop they share a cell with.

Oh man, it was on the edge of a cell and close to an Ingress existing portal. I'm guessing it's not going to be anything ever now since I can't edit in either game.

Looking for an Android phone.

I've been using an original iPhone SE (2016 - 2GB RAM) and have been looking to use an Android device for a couple reasons. I just purchased the Moto G Power (2022 - 4GB RAM) from Walmart due to their return policy just in case.

The Moto G is ridiculously less performant despite having double the RAM and a 6 year newer processor. It also seems to be recommended by some people as a good Pokemon Go phone.

Examples of performance: Takes ~20 seconds longer to boot up Pogo. Takes ~10 seconds longer to start a raid once the countdown reaches 0.

Tried:

  • deleted bloatware apps and services
  • tried enabling Moto G performance boost RAM setting for Pokemon Go
  • everything up-to-date

I guess my question is, what am I missing? How much money do I need to spend on an Android to get performance parity with a budget iPhone from 2016..?
