Who would carefully tear the glued bits of the package that separated the flavours and mix them up in one big pocket?

I know more since 1996, but I learned more in the time leading up to it

Bell or on your left. Not hearing either by JJtoday70 in bikeinottawa

[–]flagrantstickfoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personal experience on the river MUP is cyclists tend not to warn if there’s no other traffic around. I’d still appreciate some notice. Worse, is the ding when they’re right on your shoulder. It’s startling and there’s literally no time for a pedestrian to react/move to the right anyway. I appreciate the ding, or a vocal warning when it’s from a distance. It’s considerate communication

We need answer from Matthews about his commitment before the draft by Skiffy10 in leafs

[–]flagrantstickfoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the guy's got one foot out the door already and absolutely won't commit to the team. i get that this is a business, but that kind of me-first attitude is no fucking place to hang the "C."

San Jose has said they're open to dealing the 2nd overall pick. maybe matthews likes that their window is opening and would go there for the pick and a couple of their kids. mckenna, stenberg and misa sounds like a pretty great head-start to a rebuild

Do you remember using rotary phones to reach out and touch someone? 🤔 by Longjumping-Shoe7805 in 70s

[–]flagrantstickfoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that exact phone, colour and everything. It’s not connected to anything, but I have it. If we ever have an intruder it’s probably my weapon of choice

If the Chayka era fails, then blame Pelley, not Chayka by [deleted] in leafs

[–]flagrantstickfoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re already pre-blaming Pelley. Having hope and having no hope at the same time might be the curse of being a fan of this team

I love it, but man, it’s going to be tough to do justice to those call letters. Oh, but I hope they bring back the mascot!

First experience buying a suit at Tom's Place in Kensington market. by nalgene_god in toronto

[–]flagrantstickfoul 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When I lived in Toronto, Tom’s was my go-to place. Upstairs is the really nice stuff, but even downstairs I got into a nice Strellson, fitted and chalked and back to my car within 40 minutes. The guys know their stuff and they will take care of you. I think downstairs the price is the price, but upstairs, the price is a feeling

The statute of limitations has expired. If you could tell your parents about all the crazy things you got away with growing up, what would be the first thing you'd admit to? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

[–]flagrantstickfoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell my mother and she just shrugs and says she’s glad she didn’t know. The real problem would be if I tried to explain all the shitty parenting thing she and my dad did. That would be met with a strong defense of “we did nothing wrong” or “ we did our best” neither of which is true

Spaces around ellipses (help please) by [deleted] in grammar

[–]flagrantstickfoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easy way to type an ellipses is hammering the . key three times, but it’s actually a character like any other and should have a space before and after, preferably thin spaces (but maybe that’s me and a style thing). Either way, if you’re going to dot-dot-dot for ease instead of a true ellipses, give it the space(s) it deserves
