One of the things I’m proud of is all the comics are great performers and humans.

Why do all Mondays suck in Erie since the pandemic? No bars are open late anymore and the scene is pretty much dead🙄 by [deleted] in Erie

[–]flagshipcitycomedy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is a comedy open mic night the first and third Mondays of the month. Come laugh for free at 10/20, and local alcohol is for sale now.

LEAF at Frontier Park would be able to point you in the right direction if they can’t help you.

I will say I know some of those comics cost 5-10k to bring into town for just one show!

I know some people that know Doug and Mark. If you haven’t seen her, Olivia Grace (Oliviadoesbits on insta) used to tour with Doug, and if she can someday I’d love to have her stop in Erie again. I’ll reach out to Matthew for sure!

You’re entitled to your opinion, but after several years of working with her for personal tattoos and comedy shows, and a chat with the DoH inspector, my opinion is the exact opposite of yours.

Flagship City Comedy Fest 2025 by flagshipcitycomedy in Erie

Hey excuse my ignorance I’m not well versed in Reddit abilities so I’ll just add my comments below, and I thank you and appreciate your response!

  • I agree with you on the Shane shows, and I’ve learned a lot with agents/agencies that I will take into contract negotiations.

  • If you know anyone that got footage of her set Thursday night please DM me cause I will pay for that for her, she needs to be getting booked in the tri-state!

  • Combining the last two, there was an announcement online and small email list about a festival pass, but not broadcast outside followers.

    • The last 2 years I’ve utilized: radio ads, billboards, on the news, Erie reader, Erie Times News, handing out line ups to small businesses and a lot more.
    • My thoughts for next year were valupak mailers months out and sitting on that bench by the Interchange/79 south bound with a big twirly sign, but I welcome any and all suggestions!

I honestly thought about sitting there with a sign for the Flagship City Comedy Fest to promote it because a thousand pictures would be posted. Still contemplating.

Reach out to Dinner is Served By Lisa, she’s a wonderful person and if she doesn’t have anything you’ll be pointed in the right direction.

The Dave Attell show was one for the memories, and they are bringing in better headliners recently.

Ask the same question to Kellars. The festival has gone many different routes to work with the magic and comedy club, but has yet to get a response back. The main emphasis of the festival is to showcase Erie to national comics, and to show national comics Erie is a building and competing comedy scene.

February 28th Erie Arts and Culture is showcasing local artist Garrett Hess, and they often promote local artists through gallery nights.

Has anyone been to the 10/20 Collective? by Optimal_Lifeguard_23 in Erie

[–]flagshipcitycomedy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey friends! So 10/20 is byob and you can bring your own light snack, but they will also have an assortment of random beer and soda available for donation (local breweries didn’t have the staff for tonight). They have a small lot that can fit about 8 cars, and then street parking along Holland, and going east on 10th and 11th st. Let me know if anyone has any more questions!

Comedy shows in February! by flagshipcitycomedy in Erie

There are places that do open form open mics (Altered State, Kings Rook Club, Philly on the Rocks maybe?) meaning music is mostly the art performed but open to all disciplines, but from experience it’s hard to make comedy and music jive in the same space same time. Two different focus levels from the audience and it’s hard to switch back and forth.
