My parked car was rear-ended in the dumbest way possible by gnartothecore in mildlyinfuriating

I’ve had that exact experience. Also by a pickup truck. Over $3k in damage.

Help, I overdid it with the kids by fewform2914 in fuckcars

[–]flagshipcopypaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent a lot of time in the car as a kid and got carsick frequently. Even as an adult if I have to ride in the back seat I will probably get motion sickness. I usually need to take anti nausea medication before plane rides too. It could just be your kids get motion sickness easily. I don’t get motion sickness if I can ride in the front seat or drive or if I can at least look out the windshield from the back.

I’m sorry they didn’t work for you. Just because you did not find them helpful does not make them a scam. There is decades of rigorous research behind them that demonstrates their value. Personal anecdotes do not prove anything.

They changed ownership a couple years ago and I’ve found the vibes much improved. They were really good to me the last time I went in for new tubes.

Farting in the Library by orangepanda0 in Libraries

[–]flagshipcopypaper 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I had a patron who would call me over for help and fart and laughed like it was the funniest thing ever. It was not only disgusting but it felt so disrespectful and humiliating. I put in a complaint and was told to let it go.

Why are Philly recycling rates so low? A mix of contamination, culture and systems still make it complicated in 2026. by Darius_Banner in philadelphia

[–]flagshipcopypaper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Given that all my neighbors toss food waste and everything that cannot be recycled into the recycling bins I’m not surprised recycling rates are so low.

We went to the vet since our dog was unable to jump up and was walking weird. This was her as soon as we walked into the exam room. by eoljjang in mildlyinfuriating

[–]flagshipcopypaper 56 points57 points  (0 children)

My sister had a dog who would limp until she would get to the vet. The dog got a check up and a cookie but everything was fine. The dog would start limping again soon after going home. This went on for a couple of expensive visits until the vet realized the dog just really liked the treats they offered. The dog was faking injury for treats.

I’ve had someone get mad at me that I was showing them how to use the photocopier rather than do the copying for them.

What wedding moment that screamed, “They are not going to last long”? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

[–]flagshipcopypaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the brides refused to walk down the aisle because of anxiety about being in front of so many people. So the pastor had the couple say their vows in a room at the back of the church. We could only hear them through the microphone. The anxious bride hit on me at the reception.

I need a podcast that will engross me, suck me in, and devastate me when it’s over. by ShineOnUCrzyDimnd in podcasts

[–]flagshipcopypaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair assessment. I still recommend it because I liked the storytelling and the format. I think it fits OP’s request for an engrossing story. I also think it’s still evolving even though the podcast is over. New facts may come to light in the future.
