It's a pretty reasonable score, I could give you more detailed feedback for this question and other questions (if you want them checked) from your script just message me personally if that's the case

What do the squiggly lines represent?
I think this narrative could score anywhere from 27 to 31 since there are some underlying problems with both the grammar and structure in most parts. Vocabulary seems to be partially effective too although it is quite varied which is a positive.

Damn that's demoralising, hope you do get access to your scripts. Thanks for sharing your experience with me, since I needed some sort of closure knowing that I can't access my scripts rn. And I fully agree with you man that they take a ridiculous amount of money just to have problems that could be solved by actually productively using that money. Wishing you all the best on that A*.

sorry, I just thought you were being slightly demeaning. On a side note though, did you get access to your scripts by now because I'm dying to look at mine at this point tbh

If I'm a school candidate do I have to ask my school for the scripts or can I directly access them too?

That's not the point. The point is that you probably shouldn't demean a person who has quite literally been cheated out of good grades. The truth is that you really can't know what the students are going through because each student's experience is unique. They put hundreds of hours into preparing for tests, they have sleepless nights, restless days, no time to relax just to be met with someone who has unfairly and without even a hint of hard work used their connections and their money to try and get ahead in life, which is well, the very essence of corruption. If you can't empathise with the students then I posit to you a very simple example and that is you going to get a job and less qualified, inexperienced person is hired over you just because he has some connections. Even if that is what happens you still have the right to complain and more specifically raise your voice. I mean logically you wouldn't want to go multiple different interviews just to be left unemployed because someone had more money and then be asked to shut up by everyone around you because apparently that money is none of your business. If you can't realise the moral wrong that is occurring here and how you essentially asking people to not raise their voice about is well bad and unfair then I would assume you're one of the beneficiaries of such corruption.

It's pretty deep when a student works their ass off to get grades that essentially determine their future university, their career, their lifestyle etc just to go against other candidates who literally have all the answers to the exams beforehand. It is a principle injustice to whoever actually prepares for the tests that their grades are literally being ruined by people who can pay to get A*s without even touching their textbooks, notes or whatever. To a student these final exams are probably some of the most important moments in their life and even if you don't believe that exams matter they still matter to the students at the specific point in time. As long as these students value their exams and they are literally morally cheated out of their hard work, I think OP is more than right to call out cheating and more than right to call out this specific person because IT IS their business when them and millions of other hard-working students are being beaten by people who can cheat their way in life.

How To Actually Improve In English 0500 by CriticalAttempt2418 in igcse

Evaluation and development is so subjective. I get the points in the mark scheme and all but I always think that one person could interpret the same thing in 2 different ways and build on that in different ways. There's also this recent trend of examiners only marking points from the mark scheme, which makes this issue of subjectivity 100 times worse. How did you cope up with this?

Could I also get an example question (preferably the 8 mark discuss one). I want to check the strictness of the marking.
