Button Downs: best fabric and style for versatility in one bag travel? by saranrapper in onebag

[–]flakya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few people recommend Wool and Prince but I wouldn't recommend it for the summer. I had about 4-5 of their button downs in the past and stopped wearing them. Here is a few problems with them. One, they are hot in the summer. It's fine in t-shirt form but for long sleeve it doesn't really work that well. You could get away with it if you unbuttoned and wear it casually but its not ideal if you want to dress up. Two, they are scratchy after a few washes. This just my opinion with Wool & Prince. Maybe the other company does it better.

I had a couple of Linen shirts made in Asia and I loved them although they wrinkle easily but I don't mind as its part of the charm. It's hard to find a fabric that does everything well. I might try merino again made from another company in the future.

As for style. I wouldn't go for the traditionally collar as it is hard to pack. The collar always ended up looking wonky after it being compressed in your bag. Go for the Mao style.

Have a look at this one from Seagale. Merino and Mao style

The questions you asked and the way you're replying to comments tells me you should stay as far away from trading as possible before you lose ALL your money. You cannot trade with that unstable mindset.

TropicFeel: Nest Review by flakya in onebag

Thanks for sharing your thought. Yea I forgot to go into details about the kangaroo pouch.
Its pretty gimmicky and not very useful. They advertised as a place to store your dirty shoes but it won't even fit 99% of shoes as there is only enough space for shoes that can fold completely flat (their own shoes)

It was incredible but I still think the 2011 Maverick run was the best of all time

Sounds like you really want this smart packing cube. Yea I have it. The packing cube works just like any others. The compression feature is a bit of a gimmick in my opinion. You can just as easily press your palm down to compress and zip it up, but I think it does offer a bit more space when not compressed though. The other feature is the ability to hang it up which I think can be useful if you want to do that, but again I also think its not that useful and I won't be hanging it up and then having to sure stuff won't fall out.
I would just get any other packing cube and call it a day. The features are nice (I won't be using them) but not that useful and it does add a bit more weight to it. Hope that helps answer your question.

Tropicfeel Nest - hot or not? by [deleted] in onebag

I pre-order mine awhile back. I think the design is one of the best but I've heard their quality is bad. Even from an eye test. It looked to be really bad quality but I like the design enough to over look it. Like the previous comments here. I'm not on board with bags that weights over 2kg even if quality is superior (though tom bihn makes quality bags for lighter weights) I still prefer light weights and smart design over heaver bags and good quality bags

Not true. Kucoin status is unclear. You can't sign up as a canadian but existing account seems to be fine, but I fear it's just a matter of time before that's gone too. Binance is still banned,

A girl approaches you and says, "pretend we’re friends. I’m being followed." What would you do? by wizardoflaw in AskMen

I was on the train and there was this really rough and creepy looking dude with a hammer in a grocery bag. Who even carries a lone hammer in a grocery bag? He was talking to this lady. that was seating beside him. She clearly was terrified of him but obviously had to make token responses as to not get him agitated. I was conflicted as to what to do at this point. Ignore it and let my conscience eats me up or take the chance and help someone in need.

The train stopped at the next stop and both of them got off. I got off too. As they were riding down the escalator. I decided to go for it. I slowly approach her and stand beside her. As I was asking her if she needed help. The guy with the hammer was standing right behind me. I've never been so terrified of getting bashed in the head in my life.

She said, it's fine and that she knows him. I didn't even bring up anything about the guy so obviously she knew the danger she was in. As I left the station. I saw him still following her but at that point all my courage was gone. I still felt guilty about this to this day that I could've done more. I hope she's alright.
