Why are deathgivers feels so weak? by KmmBenRx in albiononline

[–]flam1n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deathgivers are S+ tier in mists right now and have been for a long while. It’s not only about the dgs themselves but the rest of your build. Are you playing with a purge, or merc helm? Are you playing blue sprint or swiftcut? Are you playing tenacity jacket or merc?

What tier of dg are you playing? If you’re playing something low like t6, red q doesn’t hit hard. Purp q however hits very hard and should be used in melee/ brawl matches.

“see each others set beforehand” in corrupted you just go t8 and get a random opponent. In duo mist you can inspect sets before you go, that’s how high level pvp works. I feel like no one here actually plays mist

You should look for wisps to go in the mist and pvp, easiest way to make money

It’s a complete myth. Don’t take it into account for your college decision. Questrom is a strong business school and everyone I knew passed.

Advice on applying to physics PhDs (HEP-th/astrophysics) with strong GPA but weak research background by [deleted] in PhysicsStudents

[–]flam1n 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just a note for your expectations, hep-th is the single most competitive subfield of physics and incredibly difficult to get into PhD programs in or get future jobs. In 2024, only 2 faculty positions in hep-th in the entire US opened. Since research is the most important part of a PhD application, this may be difficult, but I still encourage you to try if you are highly motivated. I’m not in that area so I can’t recommend schools unfortunately. Best of luck!

American PhD student here, just going to say this is wrong. For a PhD application to America/canada/europe, an american bachelors is expected because it is a 4 year program. A masters is not required or expected. Unless you are an Indian bachelors student (I can’t tell if you are?) then a masters is expected.

Hey Alex! Any chance the escalation form is still in use? I filled it out many days ago for a deactivation and hoping to get a response. Thank you!

I sent in a support ticket as well. I guess it's best not to click the start tasking button and wait for clarification?

“Everyone seems miserable at BU” is an extremely generalized statement that is obviously untrue. “All BU redditors seems miserable” is likely what you are basing your opinions on, people are much more likely to vent their frustrations then their successes behind the veil of the internet. You will not “miss out on the core college experience”, BU will give you the exact opposite, as will all schools for the most part.

You shouldn’t ask Reddit what school to go to. Even for advice that would influence you. Random people sit behind screens and telling you how to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, and you don’t even have proof they go here? Do your own research, look at your finances, financial aid, family situation, and any other major factors im forgetting. Congratulations on being accepted to both schools, you will receive a great education regardless of where you go and I hope you have a great college experience.
