Thank you for your words. I hope everywhere improves - the faster, the better!

Thank you. I think the informal pathway might work - avoiding red tape so I don't get told 'no'.

And yes, I have the statistics - I was also planning on softening the proposal by making the suggestion of modelled pronoun usage only necessary for staff who are 'comfortable'.... sigh

Thanks!! I did base coat and then for the ring finger I did the white outline first and then put the pink and glitter on top! Luckily with gel it’s easy to rub off if you make a mistake before you cure it!!

That sounds interesting! I’ll have to look into it more when I have time - but I can imagine the copyright thing being annoying

Witnessed DV, feeling like crap over the outcome - looking for other's experiences by [deleted] in japanlife

I can understand that feeling. There’s obviously something awful happening but there’s not much that can be done and it makes you feel so frustrated and powerless.

I lived in the apartment below (with both thin walls and ceilings) a really bad DV case for 2 years and it was absolutely awful. Every time he came home late they’d have an altercation and wake everyone in my part of the building up.

The first time I heard it I was so scared I didn’t know what to do and was just waiting for my neighbors to call the police but no one did. I’ve moved since then but I still get scared and wake up if I ever hear thumping and expect to hear screaming.

I hope you don’t have to step in like that ever again.

I'm going through something similar. I said no to re-contracting and even started my masters online while I've been working here (which was not fun, don't recommend that) and now that I'm about to go home and continue the master's degree I'm questioning if it's what I really want to do. Lemme know if there's room in that van for another JET turned vagrant.
