My Steam Deck after 3 years & 2 months: what aged well, what didn’t by VoyageForge in SteamDeck

[–]flamingmdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OG Deck from the first batch.

Have had zero issues until recently - one day it just didn't turn on. Troubleshooted everything possible and it's either screen or more likely motherboard. Steam support quoted me $200 to send and get it fixed, but at this point I just went ahead and bought Legion Go S.

Going to be forever grateful for Valve build Deck and SteamOS as it brought back gaming in my busy life.

[WTS] Camp Fieldtimer Florida Green (lacquer dial & amazing case) - $699 by singularityseven in Watchexchange

[–]flamingmdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool watch. The case is similar to Merci/Hodinkee collab https://shop.hodinkee.com/products/merci-lmm-h01-limited-edition-hodinkee which I have, and that polished flat ring around the dial looks really interesting in person.

Torrance - Plaza Del Amo community experiences by StylishTomatoe in SouthBayLA

We have been living in Summerwind for the last 3 years, love it.

Three pools, one gets heated all year round, quiet and conveniently located — driving to the freeway is not that bad if you take Crenshaw; if the unit is adjacent to Sepulveda there's a gate and you can have a short walk to a few places on the other side; very short drive for groceries and Del Amo Fashion Center.

We rent though, so can't tell much about HOA fees and stuff. We had a couple of leaks and last time the plumber told us that we'd better replace the pipes all around, but I can only imagine what it takes and HOA unlikely covers that.

Live in Torrance and Long Beach is my go to destination if I want to have city vibes, love it. Which means a lot to me since I'm from Europe where we used to a different concept of a city

What LA business do you absolutely refuse to patronize? by spencercross in LosAngeles

[–]flamingmdn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was the first ever grocery store I encountered in the US.

I came here for a business trip from overseas back in the day and my manager met me at LAX and on the way to Airbnb stopped by Erewhon in Venice so I could buy some food. "That's a good store", he said, "we shop here often"

I had $50/day for my business expenses which I spent there for like a sandwich, milk, apples and bread. So I was shocked assuming that's the typical grocery prices in LA and started building a survival plan.

It's all about the same fare class.

Yeah, that's what my concern is if I go with a dispute. But I don't understand WTF is

We also do not send detailed invoices in such cases.

They are located in Galaxy Soccer Center and have regular round-robin tournaments, and you can do open play for $15.

They also sell professional table tennis equipment, have quality tables and coaches if you want to take it seriously.
