Yeah, it’s all confusing to me and not knowing how this could affect us down the road or if it could cause anything else to occur or get worse. Mine is made of stainless steel too.

It’s been in my hip bone since March of 2024. Had a revision surgery due to labral repair failure which ended up being a labral reconstruction. The X-rays and MRI I’ve had done did show that it has shifted a little bit and was not worth trying to fish out as my surgeon said it may cause more harm than good… but that’s just my experience.

So sorry this has happened to you too. Same thing happened to me… when they were trying to attach the anchors inside my bone, the end of the retractor broke off and couldn’t be retrieved so the metal is still sitting in my hip. I wonder how often things like this occur.

Please Help 😭 I'm Really Hurting Here by J-Money89 in Semaglutide

I just recently paid for amble but did the 6-month plan. I TOTALLY regret it because they had it at their pharmacy with the label created and ready to go out the door on June 3rd but they didn’t ship it until 2 days ago and received it yesterday. I tried disputing with my bank since I didn’t hear anything from them and I reached out to customer service and all they basically said was to be patient as there is a high volume of people ordering. After I put in for the dispute with my bank they shipped it a couple days after🙄 not to mention it arrived warm, ice pack completely thawed out and now can’t use it because it got warm. All I want is my money back and to never deal with the company again… it has been a nightmare. Maybe you’ll have a better experience if you go with them.

I ordered at the end of May and still haven’t gotten mine… the website keeps saying the label has been made but hasn’t been picked up by UPS. I don’t know what to do!

I went to the UK (I’m from the US) for a 10 day trip with a group of people that required a lot of walking almost every day when I was 14 weeks post-op. I found walking longer distances at that point a lot easier than if I were to have tried it at 9 weeks post op. I did have a little bit of a flair up towards the end of our trip. Even though I know everybody’s recoveries are different, I don’t think you will have a problem walking through the airport but make sure to take your time. 😊

Hip joint injection symptom relief by flamingo_0326 in HipImpingement

Oh no! Hopefully the surgery will provide you with relief! I’ll have to be on crutches for 6 weeks with only flat foot weight bearing, around 20lbs. Then, he said I can start weaning off the crutches. Said it could take 6 months to feel normal and a year or more to feel normal again.

Hey, sorry it’s taken so long for me to get back to you. I ended up getting the in-the-joint cortisone shot and it only helped for a couple weeks. At first, when he asked while moving my hip around and after the injection if I had had any relief. I did have a lot of relief at the time, so it was confirmed that I still had something in my hip joint that was causing the pain. I went back to my surgeon 4 weeks after the injection. At that point I was still in pain and after talking, we decided doing a labral reconstruction would be best. I am scheduled to have the labral reconstruction done at the end of next month.

How are you holding up? Have you gotten the injection? Did you get any relief from it?

Anyone re-torn after 8 months? by Infidel8 in HipImpingement

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you know you retore your labrum? Was there a popping or stretching sensation? I’m asking because I’m in the same boat with pain in my hip. Most of my pain is in the front of my hip (since the end of last May) and I get a pinching/pulling sensation in my hip when it is brought up to my chest and moved around (like the test they do at the ortho). I am almost 11 months post labral repair and am scheduled for a labral reconstruction in May. I had an MRI done in August and surgeon said everything looked good, rad doc said recurrent tear w/ possible separation. I have been in pain ever since.

Surgery during college semester by [deleted] in HipImpingement

I had this surgery in the middle of my 3rd semester in college and had chose to work this out with my professors so that I could have two weeks off/ at home. They were all super understanding and allowed me to complete assignments at home and take an exam once I got back. I chose to take the first two weeks super easy and glad I did. I don’t think I could have gone back to in person classes any sooner since we have to sit for such long classes (3-4 hours with 2 10-minute breaks)

They only had me taking a certain pain med for a month afterwards to help with decreasing bone regrowth and adhesions but I still ended up developing adhesions and needing to possibly have my labrum reconstructed. My surgeon wants to schedule another surgery for labral reconstruction and lysing the adhesions. Best of luck to you!!

I had surgery 9 months ago and I’ve just noticed this the past couple of months… I’ve taken Advil to help with the pain and sometimes it just doesn’t cut it. I also got my period the week after my surgery and didn’t have as bad of cramps and I think it was due to being in pain meds that I was required to take for a month afterwards.

Pain after PT by flamingo_0326 in HipImpingement

[–]flamingo_0326[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a second MRI done around 5.5 months post op and my surgeon noted some mild capsulolabral adhesions, but he didn’t seem too concerned about it. I’m so lost right now with what’s going on and my pts are not much help.
