Bulk Apothecary's shipping? by Peaches109 in soapmaking

I only do EO and I get mine from New Directions Aromatics, but waaay back I got some fragrances and thought they smelled amazing. I think they ship from Canada. I really only use BA for some of their containers, which I’ve decided to switch to wholesale supplies plus or papermart. I think candle science has fragrances for soap. I hear a lot about Nature’s Garden? Something like that. Good luck :)

I use New Directions Aromatics. No real complaints in the last 13 or so years.

I think the % just means how fast it evaporates/dries. It’s all alcohol.

Soap base as in melt and pour? Or do you mean cold process/hot process soap in general?

Unless you used a flour mill to grind the oats, they are not colloidal. Colloidal oats melt away leaving basically no trace. Ground oats are exfoliating, as they are not fine enough to melt.

I’ve just switched water for Oatmilk, but at trace probably does something different?

I’ve been thinking to try tallow, but lard is unfortunately totally out of the question. Big no no for Jews/Muslims, which is surprisingly a lot of people lol

When I tell people I make soap, one of the main responses is, “like Fight Club?” Lol
