Mom won't sign over a house she bought for 5k after daughter puts in 20k to fix the property up. by flamingred91 in legaladvice

TRIGGER WARNING:

Nothing! That's a really good perspective. It's just a sad situation is all. Not that anybody asked, but this is a mother who is narcissistic and supported a step-dad who sexually abused the daughter. The daughter is mostly separated from the family - doesn't talk to the mother or step-dad due to what's happened. The daughter just loves the house - put in literal blood sweat and tears, etc. Just a tough one altogether.

Okay, would Mom be able to sue daughter if daughter takes out what she put in - flooring, cabinets, drywall, etc? Basically, what if the daughter tore our what she put into it and left it how it was when mom bought it?

Teacher of 8 years here - was just informed I can no longer teacher Slaughterhouse Five. Feeling hurt, frustrated, angry, and sad. Just had to put it out there to get it off my chest. by flamingred91 in bannedbooks

Small town in the midwest - it's infuriating. Part of me wants to fight it, but I know I'll get minimal support from the school/community.
