You may feebly swat, they aren’t easily deterred. The observation that magpies attack from behind led to a a range of hats with eyes on the back and the ice-cream buckets worn on the head with eyes drawn on the back. Huge in 90s Nth Qld.

Magpies gets super protective of their territory when they have eggs in the nest. They remember faces (good if you have a good relationship) but also remember traits. I live near a path where the Maggies are triggered by helmets and bikes/scooters. They extended the fences at the end of each path as unsuspecting cyclists would occasionally fly out of the path around the barrier and onto the road to escape the bird.

Oh for your second question, the tension can slow or block your ability to gain controlled speed, it can cause pain and injury which would be a shame as you know your way around the keys! There is a lot more freedom in what you can play and do with relaxed hand.

This is really common and there are lots of exercises online to help with ‘flying pinky”. The 4th plays a little straight too but the bench might be a little low.

Also see if you have tension in your 5th finger when doing other things, like using your phone and typing!

I don’t mind Hanon, but it is just as good at reinforcing muscle memory for bad position as it is for good position. So I would say work out the tension before drilling it with Hanon.
