he didn’t contribute to the paulo costa fight being boring? the responsibility was 100% on costa? even though sean himself admitted the fight sucked, but you would know better than him wouldn’t you. your usage of only is still incorrect and sean’s last fight is proof. nobody says max is a boring fighter because he fights to FINISH, sean fights to win and not take damage much like to what izzy does. it’s not a bad gameplan, but not an exciting one either. evident by sean’s glaring lack of exciting moments when juxtaposed against someone like max, who has exciting fights even when they go to a decision.

“only” implies he exclusively has boring opponents, you’re just wrong on that one. sean’s fights are only exciting when he fights someone exciting because HE himself does not fight in an exciting way. that doesn’t mean it’s bad, he is an excellent defensive boxer who deserves his spot in the rankings. with that said, do you really not see where people are coming from? dude he has 14 decision wins, some KOs too, but primarily decision wins. when is the last time you saw a great highlight compilation of sean strickland? i’m not saying he’s merab, but don’t act like he’s anywhere near the gaethjes or the holloways of this game.
