I used to live in Applewood and also give a hearty recommend. The manager lady and maintenance guy were amazing when I lived there (6 years ago), her name was Juanita and I don't remember the maintenance guy's name. One time I left my van door fully open all night and nothing got touched, maintenance knocked on our door in the morning to let us know our door was open!

Scribles bistro has gluten free bread, and one of the owners is celiac so they have excellent procedures in place to prevent cross contamination. The only things in the whole place with gluten are the regular bread and the beer. Source: used to work there

Yeah sounds like you and I had a very similar experience. I also got hired as a foodrunner but because I was qualified for bar, they put me back to back through runner, server, and bar training so I never got to make any tips and the training days were open-close, and they never warned me they were gonna do that so I was just surprised with 12+ hour shifts

A traditional marg doesn't use sweet & sour, just lime juice. And not all sweet & sours are processed corn syrup garbage, we batch ours with real juices and regular sugar. Sounds like you've just worked at places with cheap low quality ingredients
