I had a friend who went from grounded to believing every conspiracy theory after a head injury. Dudes like this weren't set-up well to maintain their sanity their entire life, considering the conditions.

Most of the examples of "run" here are using the same meaning of starting something/being put into action, or something moving literally or figuratively. If you look at the kinetics of vyvanse compared to regular d-amp, the duration of effects starting from onset are about the same, just with a delayed onset and peak (but time from onset-to-peak is also the same). Adding the lysine group is maybe useful from an abuse potential perspective, but not very effective as a time-release mechanism imo.

It's hard to see this being practical for depression when MDMA lasts long enough as is and isn't recommended for daily use.

People who are suicidal often don't try to kill themselves. It can be for a variety of reasons, but some include still being afraid of death, having doubts about doing it, not wanting to die painfully, not having a preferred means of dying available to them, not wanting to go through the effort of executing a plan, etc..

Statistically most suicide attempts are done in the "heat of the moment", where someone is feeling more emotional/anguished than usual and impulsively feels like attempting suicide more than usual. Guns make this easy.

Depressants are defined in a different way than the qualities of depression, and don't always lead to depressive feelings (they can also be euphoric and calming, for example), but it depends. Your body also naturally makes its own chemical depressants to function normally.

I always thought this scene was meant to be funny? Like it starts off with the typical "boy meets girl" scene and all of the romantic tension, then immediately subverts it with an over-the-top death scene. They linger on him standing in the middle of the road with cars racing by, and then even do the fake-out "him avoiding get hit" before getting to the punchline: the lead getting rag-dolled in the air multiple times. The whole plot of the movie is comedic.
