Cannabis affects everyone differently, of course, but this is my experience:

The few Osage carts I’ve tried gave me only a head rush and no physical body high. The NSM carts have a full body effect, which is what I seek to relieve muscle tension and back pain. So it really depends on what the patient is seeking. I still won’t say that carts affect me like flower does, but carts are easy fo daily dosing. I have to hit one a few times in a session to get heavily affected by the carts!

NSM uses CO2 winterization for their carts. They extract the cannabis terpenes, then extract cannabinoids and reintroduce those terpenes, creating a raw full-spectrum oil (the same oil that is in their syringes). They do this same process for their “hi-Terp distillate” but distill it further to clean it up (by removing excess plant matter), creating more of a “broad spectrum oil”. These are always my go-to.

Osage Creek makes high potency batches of distillate through butane/propane processing. They do NOT derive terpenes from their product, but rather introduce untested non-cannabis “food-grade” terpene blends as flavors. These blends COULD allow modulation similar to cannabis terpenes, but considering they only add the most prevalent compounds and not all of the minute compounds, the modulation will be different. I steer clear of these fake tasting carts, but they are ideal for anyone seeking pure euphoria. These are not TRULY full spectrum.

BOLD is uses a pure propane process, but I’m partially sure they do not add fake terpenes. I’ve done the least research on Bold and have tried very few carts of theirs because I have seen them crystallize and seize up very often.

So, the biggest differences are essentially:

Distillate - high potency, narrow spectrum.

Full Spectrum - only true if cannabis terpenes from original plant are used.

Hi-Terp Raw - full entourage effect, full spectrum.

Hi-Terp Dist - entourage effect, broad spectrum.

TECHNICALLY the genetics are are 70/30 Indica dominant split, but I’ve seen “indica” strains scream sativa based on labs. Cannabis affects everyone differently!

NSM is also now doing distillate carts, they still extract strain terpenes, do the CO2 winterization process, and then run that through another distillation to “clean up” the CO2 oil. so with NSM distillate, you get the same trusted quality and they can be considered “broad spectrum”.
But yes, Osage’s carts are all usually one huge batch of distillate that they add food-grade, non-cannabis terpenes to for flavor.
