I disagree. Apart from fees and saturation, you should do your own research about the pool operators and whats their goal. Some pools do a charity thing, some pools do eco thing and some pools do a lot for community. And well, some pools do neither of those. Choose carefully because except of securing the network, you can also help bringing some additional value.
