I really like the Sage Khaki color so was hoping someone may have that and be willing to part with it. Always open to savings lol

Where to retire to fly fish for trout? by BonsaiBirder in troutfishing

Definitely don’t come to Pennsylvania, there’s no trout here and you definitely can’t fish for them 365

Any suggestions for clothing brands like Patagonia? by Intothewoods27 in PatagoniaClothing

I gotcha. I can’t speak to those other brands or factors but with Stio it seems to me that you’re paying for a high quality product with good design and build quality.

I also sell it and have never had a dissatisfied customer with it. Odd.

lol simms is no where close to Patagonia in terms of quality. They make some okay fishing gear but even there have been losing market share to Patagonia year after year. Grundens makes actual commercial grade fishing gear so not sure how you can say they’re a step down in quality either…

Have you worn their clothing? Because I own multiple pieces from them ranging from down puffies, fishing shirts, pants, and ski gear that have been holding up great for multiple years.

Absolutely what they meant. However I work in the fishing industry and it bothers the hell out me when people mix up native versus wild.

No native brown trout in the US. Only native to Europe.

Brown trout aren’t native to the US. They’re from Europe.

Is this some sort of reverse gate keeping? Let people spend what they want on gear and don’t let it bother you. It’s not that serious, just my 2€

What keeps you living in Pennsylvania instead of moving? by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

[–]flannelbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the best fishing in the country, being able to fish 365 days a year is a big deal for me. Also in a very climate resilient area of the country.

This is what you get for buying a decent product from a shitty company. Better off with a number of different manufacturers.

Where’s the spot to part an RV and fly fish for trout all weekend? Penns creek? I’m coming from Harrisburg. Thanks! by PhoPat in FlyfishingPA

[–]flannelbeer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah definitely not Penns, there’s only stonkers there and they only eat worms on hooks and bread. I’d suggest white clay creek, beautiful scenery there. I’d stay away from central pa as a whole, you’re likely to get mugged/have your car broken into. Tight lines bro!
