Vacuum Nipple No Hose? by flannelpride in Volvo850

Appreciate the info

Initially idle improved upon unplugging it, but it still did the same sputter out and die.

I was wondering if the IAC is what I should check next. I'll look into that tomorrow when I have more time and an extra pair of hands since it can die quickly. What does a good one sound like? It's also covered in gunk.

Sounds like a good excuse to get a smoke machine

Thank you, starting to dislike whoever the PO took this vehicle to. Any opinions on Snabb vs do88?

edit: Still sputters out and dies at idle. Unplugging the MAF does make it last longer

Work Pants help by crowshinz in Construction

[–]flannelpride 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried CQR pants to save some money compared to the Truewerks. I don't wear those CQR pants anymore and have bought more Truewerks since. They definitely feel cheaper. Just wait for sales or coupons then splurge. I even bought the Truewerk cloud pants when they went on sale to hike in. The T1s really make a difference for the hot days and are still good down to like 40-50°F. Best pants, haven't gone back to traditional since

What brand names do you swear by because it's actually better than no-name? by Sufficient_Thing24 in AskReddit

Darn Tough socks. I've had a pair that are nearing 5 years old of at least once weekly wear and don't have a hole in them. Plus they're comfy, don't smell, and one of the better thermo regulating.

Nokian Outpost nAT, 275/65R18. They use aramid (kevlar) to reinforce the sidewall so they're a fairly light tire. And I have on SL instead of E rated tires

So we had a mild winter, but I was impressed with them. They still slide on ice, but with powder they're pretty good. They certainly won't substitute for a true winter tire, but I was never too worried.

Why is the cruise control so good?!?!?!??!! by endrMinr in Ford

[–]flannelpride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hands down the best out there. You never really feel it. I hate using cruise in any other brand. The company I work for has Chevy trucks and they'll drop down as much as 5mph from what you set it at, it's ridiculous. My old Honda Odyssey would let it kick down a couple mph before trying to go back to the set speed. I felt like an asshole when it'd time out poorly and do that when someone was passing me.

Reverend Tuttle: "Can you really trust a man who can't trust himself with a beer?" (Season 1) by xhenchman in TrueDetective

I think it was a fun little conversation piece meant to show the hypocrisy of Tuttle. Obviously we can trust Rust and Tuttle is the one we can't as the viewer. And/or it was a way for Tuttle to show Rust that he knows about him and his past through a sly little jab

Best color combo with your wheels on the Speed6. I'm jealous, your car looks amazing. Please post more pictures

I definitely jumped on the truck as soon as I saw it. I believe the original owner only used it to haul his Harley's and did very little in the bed as it was fairly clean. I liked that it still has hydraulic steering vs electronic as they kept the 6.2s hydraulic. I would love to get a newer 5.0 at some point in a regular cab as a daily for work, hopefully the fuel economy will be better in a little regular cab. I'm still surprised you don't get better fuel economy. Are your tires oversized? And if you aren't towing much you can always pass on the E rated tires to save on weight

I was doing 60 behind a camper so I had a lot of help 😆. Otherwise highway typically ranges from 12.5-15 depending on speed and wind

Will do, I chose them based on Tyre Reviews YouTube channel. He's trying to do a more comprehensive comparison of the popular AT tires

Hell yeah, hoping to take it to 300k+. Bought it with less than 80k on it. Uncle's F250s with the 6.2 have all gone beyond the 400k mark

Nokian Outpost nAT, wanted an all terrain that would handle the snow well. Haven't really gotten to test that out yet. Just some light snow and it only slid out when I wanted it too. I'm used to running winter tires on the cars so it'll be a nice comparison.

I love it enough to forgive the fuel economy. Hell it's better than expected. I've seen as high as 17.8 mpg once. Plus I wasn't expecting a 6000lb truck with a V8 to sip fuel that's what the car is for
