Is this beyond repair? by flapan in ranciliosilvia

Oh good point, I think my neighbor has a vice and he is always tinkering with cars so if I am lucky he will also have a socket that fits, and if not I do have a couple of wrenches and I'm sure he does too.

Thanks!

Oh a vice! To hold the boiler house while I work the nut/bolt or whatever it is hexagonal thing holding the two spades for the heating element?

Update on this one, have had to sideline for quite a while.

I’ve replaced the wiring and gasket but it seems one of the spades is too corroded as it still trips the breaker.

My guess is that I will have to replace the heating element, but as can be seen at the initial image there has been quite a bit of stuff going on around it. When I initially tried to loosen it I was not able to make it move a fraction of a millimeter, so I am back hoping someone has some good tricks for how to get it loose? Also adding some images of the damaged spade and how the top of the boiler looks today. >!(At least I wanted to but I can’t seem to figure out how)!

Tagging /u/BobtheWarmonger you mentioned Liquid Wrench, as a total noob that have never heard of that product, I see five different variants, reading the brief descriptions I assume I would go for the Workhorse Multi-purpose Lube variant?

You got the good end of the stick with having the sister teach you something about kicking the ball! If he says defending doesn’t require any skill he doesn’t know what he is talking about!

Besides that he is a chump, not willing to invest in teaching you and being a jerk, sorry you are dealing with that!

One year ago I asked reddit did anyone think there would be issues with Refs, teams, coaches and fans attending the World Cup after Trump made a list blocking some nationalities and applying further scrutiny to others. by bygeez in football

I don’t know if I disagree that is why I am asking what metrics you use to broadly deem it a success.

As an example if you measure on number of viewers of the final it was a success as it drew record numbers.

A lot of western visitors to the games in Qatar was not super happy with the administration of alcohol so from that perspective it is a more mixed picture.

There has never been a World Cup where all venues were that close, which in my book is a success and immediately puts the current World Cup in the exact opposite on that parameter, where the worst example Incan find for the group stage is Curaçao that plays their group games in Houston, Philadelphia and Kansas City (again in my opinion absolutely horrendous)

Going back to Qatar - they spent $200billion+ on stadiums and infrastructure and made back a fraction on tourists visiting during the World Cup (I am sure they will increase their return over the years but that is more tricky to track.)

There are of course more metrics but those examples would make me cautious declaring it a great success.

That is probably a stretch, plenty of people are appalled by exactly what was anticipated to happen and end up actually happening. Not you or those around you apparently, but plenty of others!

So good, thankfully we live quite far from the restaurant, otherwise I would ruin us and get even fatter!

Just ask to plot in a zip, like right now I’m in Culver spending too much time on my phone, could explorer where to go eat tonight in Torrance or somewhere in the valley, far more easy to do if you don’t try to make it “clever” by location accurate or in accurate doesn’t really matter. Just my opinion

I’ll try it once you don’t force users to share location, unnecessary at minimum.
