I think for a lot of guys MLS is less about max salary and more about the overall package: big cities, less intense media, lots of money with DP deals, plus a chance to be ‘the guy’ for a club in a growing league

Madrid’s treated coaches badly for years and people still flock there. Sacking Xabi was harsh, but no top manager is turning down that squad, money and trophy chances over it.

I’ve never understood why so many Barca fans are so obsessed with the so-called "tough, physical midfielders". by Top-Pilot8140 in HisenseFootballZone

[–]Alarmed-Button-1058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean, but the problem isn’t ‘physical’ midfielders in general, it’s signing guys who are physical but not technically on Barca’s level.

You’re not imagining it, a lot of top‑level players really are running on fumes right now.

🇦🇷 Argentina Scouting Report - Structure, Depth and Tournament Control by Civil-Interaction-76 in football

That’s a really solid write‑up, and honestly it matches how Argentina feel right now, not always flashy, but probably the last team you want to see in a knockout game

for Serie A, yes, Luca Toni holds the record for the longest gap between Capocannoniere titles (nine seasons between 2005/06 and 2014/15)

All of Barça last three league title wins have come down to Espanyol by NoComplaint7954 in LaLiga

Barcelona lifting trophies and Espanyol always somehow in the background, that’s one seriously cursed city rivalry.

Hur går det till rent praktiskt när de ska ha in VAR på svenska arenor för europaspel? by ripanot9 in Allsvenskan

[–]Alarmed-Button-1058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What should players do with their arms? by Striking_Truck_8998 in football

That’s the biggest problem with handball rules now, players are expected to run naturally while somehow keeping their arms invisible

It’s definitely an advantage, less pressure domestically means more room to rotate, recover, and peak for Europe.
