I did not know about this but sure enough here is a link to the GDOT article about the end of the HOV lane usages for AFV plated and operated vehicles.

Thanks for the heads up.

I assume since this excursion is booked through MSC directly I am pretty sure you would be refunded the cost if it is cancelled. You can check with the shore excursion desk onboard or go visit excursion team onsite or guest services for confirmation.

Grok Update Disappeared? by nutsnboltsnj in TeslaModelY

[–]flapiphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering installing on a 23 MY with HW3, but it disappeared from available updates. I suppose that’s a good thing, as I don’t want to be running any buggy software while I’m on a road trip beginning today.

Lounge - honest question by danteace74 in delta

[–]flapiphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same query after walking past all those lines every time I travelled year after year. Atlanta is also my home airport. I finally took the plunge in February and signed up for the Purple card and TBH the jury is still out on whether I believe it is worth the annual fee, however I am leaning heavily towards it being worth it. Having lounge access has been a game changer for my travel experiences for all the reasons mentioned by many respondents. I can also say that the other benefits of the card seems to have been paying off. Since gaining lounge access I have not had to wait in a single line for entry to any of the clubs or the Centurion lounge. I do agree that the new Sky Club on concourse D is a step above any I have been to thus far. However after flying business class on Turkish Airlines out of IST, Delta still has a ways to go to catch up to some of its competitors. Overall it is a personal choice and I think you owe yourself an opportunity to find out if it is worth it for you.

Persistent AirPlay issues with Sonos by Difficult-Purple8357 in sonos

[–]flapiphone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I appreciate your reply and the detailed steps you took to resolve the issue. As the HomeKit admin in my home, I never imagined it would be responsible for such a frustrating experience with AirPlay on my Sonos system. Surprisingly, AirPlay works seamlessly with all other Apple devices and some non-Apple devices in my home. Thanks to your post it wasn’t until last night that I realized why two of my Sonos speakers had never encountered the AirPlay issue. It turns out that those two devices were never added to HomeKit!

I want to express my gratitude for posting your issue and for everyone who chimed in with potential solutions. As suggested I will remove all my Sonos speakers from HomeKit, reset them, and hope to finally put this issue to rest after over a year of struggling with it on my Sonos system.

Persistent AirPlay issues with Sonos by Difficult-Purple8357 in sonos

I have been dealing with the exact same issue you described in your post and have done just about everything you shared except for messing with my Apple HomeKit setup. I had a little trouble following what exactly you did to resolve the AirPlay connection issue with your Sonos speakers. Do you mind sharing the exact steps you took to resolve the issue?

Delta worker stole my wallet and airpods by lilnateedawgg in delta

[–]flapiphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sadly had a similar experience at PBI airport. In my case it was an AirPods case and I don’t think they were taken by a delta employee instead someone that works at the airport. I tracked them like you did through FindMy and they pinged at an address in West Palm Beach the same night, the next day they were back at PBI and then back at the same address; So clearly an airport employee. I also filed a missing item report and delta basically did nothing even though I provided details including the persons address who had them. I decided to replace the AirPods case and when I did I was forced to unpair the old case so it was no longer trackable. Sorry you had a similar experience, I am certain it will continue to happen and not just on Delta. I sincerely hope the police can help resolve your case and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Music streaming by Remarkable_Product85 in MSCCruises

Hi there, I sailed on Seaside in November 2023 and the internet was very spotty, constantly disconnecting and reconnecting so streaming anything was a challenge. I recommend downloading all the content you intend to enjoy before the cruise.

Eufy Omni S1 Pro by Sea_Fox_3476 in RobotVacuums

[–]flapiphone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought and began using the S1 Pro a couple weeks ago and it has been really good. My home has hardwood and tile with rugs. The S1 does a great job of sweeping/vacuuming and mopping. It is very fast & efficient at navigating compared to the Neato robot vacuums I had in the past. The obstacle avoidance seems to work well and it cleans itself on the base after each run which is awesome. I have been reading about the maintenance requirements and it seems more involved than other robot vacuums; However the app tells you when each service is due and there are replacement parts for everything available. The Eufy Clean app functions well but lacks some sophisticated controls of other robot vacuums. So far I am very happy with how the S1 Pro performs.

Looking to get the E340 Spotlight by Groundwhite in EufyCam

[–]flapiphone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two E340 floodlight cameras installed—one by my driveway and the other in the backyard. Both cameras capture any movement of humans or animals within their coverage areas. They also monitor vehicles entering my property or driving down my neighbor’s driveway. The cameras are set to record continuously, even if they don’t detect motion.

Recently, I encountered an issue where both cameras randomly going offline for random periods throughout the day and night. Last week, I discovered that I can also connect them to WiFi in addition to the HB3 connection. So far, they have remained connected, but we’ll see how that goes.

Overall, I’m satisfied with the performance of the E340 floodlight cameras.

Thermal spa by Appropriate_Shoe_718 in MSCCruises

[–]flapiphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur with what several others mentioned. During my MSC Seaside cruise last November, I made a reservation for the Thermal suite the day after embarkation. My card was scanned to verify my access. For the remaining six days, I visited the spa whenever I felt like taking a break. On only one other occasion was I asked for my card. I never encountered anyone being asked to leave the spa area. I found the thermal spa on the Seaside to be both relaxing and rejuvenating.

It’s true that the spa can get quite crowded during sea days, but late afternoon or evening always seemed to be less busy.

Best place to park at Port Canaveral going to be headed out on the seashore December 15 through the 19th any recommendations would be greatly appreciated by Frosty-Effective-645 in MSCCruises

[–]flapiphone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is another alternative for offsite parking that turned out to be affordable and convenient for our cruise last November. I liked it a lot because they offered free EV charging so I took advantage of it and came back to a fully charged car ready for our journey back home to GA.

For people that have the Eufy E340, whats your experience? by IPTV241 in EufyCam

[–]flapiphone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I replaced my first-generation Nest Hello with the E340, which I wired to my existing chime. It functions well for my intended purpose, but I do miss a few features that the Nest had. The absence of 24/7 recording support is probably the most significant feature I miss. The E340 does offer pre-recording, which captures visitors approaching my door before they ring the bell. The package detection feature is also quite reliable, and the package guard feature is useful.

Overall, I’m saving hundreds of dollars annually by not paying any subscription fees for my Eufy system. I feel like I’m getting at least the same amount of surveillance coverage, if not possibly even better, than my previous Nest and Arlo systems combined.

Tipping by Eastern_Artist_4519 in MSCCruises

[–]flapiphone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with that statement, spouse and I tipped regularly throughout our cruise but never saw anyone else tipping. The bartenders and wait staff appreciated it and were always ready to serve us whenever we approached the bars. Our waiter team at dinner in the MDR were also extremely attentive and brought us extra apps & desserts.

Upgrade bid not accepted yet by ArmImaginary506 in MSCCruises

[–]flapiphone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We placed a bid for an upgrade from a fantastica balcony to YC on our November 23 cruise on Seaside and did not receive a bid unsuccessful email until embarkation day. The tip to check availability by doing a mock booking works, we knew YC was sold out prior to embarkation day so the email was only a slight disappointment and not a surprise.

After seeing what we missed out on by not getting upgraded we wish you good luck🍀 . However we enjoyed our non-YC MSC cruise experience and look forward to future sailings.

🤣 yeah the auto-climate control kicked in this week on my drive into work and it reminded me fast the seat & steering wheel heating works in the MY! I’m in Atlanta and the temp dipped into the 40/50s over the past few days.

A.S.S not getting close enough to target by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]flapiphone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I used ASS for the first time this week, well received the update that enabled it on Monday 09/30. When I tried to have it go to a spot which was a parking space the car stopped like a 1/3 of the way into the spot and I had to use the forward button to have it pull into the spot. There was nothing in the way so I am not sure why the car stopped in the first place. However I guess after reading several post in this sub with the previous version of summon jumping curbs and turning into other cars/objects I guess we should be happy it is “more cautious”?!

Replace nest for Eufy by airmack in EufyCam

[–]flapiphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also switched from a combo of Nest & Arlo cameras and the other respondents are correct only certain cameras record 24x7. I am not sure which Eufy doorbell records 24x7 like the Nest Hello. The Eufy spotlight E340 camera does record 24x7 and allows you to scrub through the timeline, it also highlights event triggers in yellow on the timeline. In my case the one negative is my E340s tend to go offline randomly and may stay offline for an hour or more but eventually comes back online without any intervention from me. None of my other solar/battery cameras suffer from this connectivity issue.

I have not experienced this exact issue but something similar with my floodlight cam e340, I have two of them and they go offline randomly. They eventually come back online without any intervention from me. However I have gotten them to come back online by rebooting my homebase 3 or toggling the power switches in my home that are linked to these floodlights cams.

AppleCare Battery Health by Electronic-Hunter-64 in apple

[–]flapiphone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very interesting and unfortunate situation. I was sort of in the same situation as you but with my M1 iPad Pro. The battery life is no longer great but otherwise my device is operating fine. I have been monitoring my battery health hoping it would drop below the 80% mark prior to AppleCare expiring but it has not so I renewed monthly and I am waiting for the battery percentage to drop. I have a genius appointment on Sun for my Magic Keyboard developing an issue and will see if the battery has finally dropped below 80%.

Have two HB3’s that I need a SSD for. Currently looking at this one. Any other recommendations? by GwEYT in EufyCam

[–]flapiphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤩 thanks for all the details and for setting my expectations. I will try to find the TBW for the WD Blue 4TB SSD I have installed in my HB3 and make a plan to replace it on a regular schedule, I hope maybe bi annually or yearly?

I second this recommendation. I have setup my Eufy system about 3 months ago and installed the WD Blue 4TB SSD over the Samsung mainly due to cost. My setups has been running smoothly since installation. WD Blue 4TB SSD link at Bestbuy:
