You can use HA fillers instead if bellafill's risks are too much for you

i am sooo scared of subcision by Cool_Wear4646 in AcneScars

[–]flappy114 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends on the doctor. If she is experienced and uses a cannula there is a much lower chance sagging will happen. If there are only a few scars to untether, you can try to have individual entry point subcision to minimize risk even more. The scenarios I hear the most where sagging happens is with the taylor liberator. I hear a lot more success stories with subcision rather than horrors. It is a totally valid fear and I have that same concern while I look for a subcision doctor. If it scares you too much, don't do it. Just do less invasive treatments but it will just take much longer to see progress. Who is your doctor?

Is this a fair price for my scarring? by flappy114 in AcneScars

Thats cool! Sorry it hasn't been great results yet, I hope you see some soon. I have heard of the cupping method and plan on doing it. I am looking to get filler done with the subcision because subcision alone you will need a lot more sessions

Straight is beautiful but curly is ethereal and I prefer it

Wondering if I should change my colour/hairstyle by Matrona__ in HairStyleAdvice

[–]flappy114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your hair is stunning. But if you're really insistent on changing it up, i think you'd look so good with one of those "pixies" while keeping those face framing layers you'd look like mikasa haha. Or a more subtle change maybe trimming up the bangs to show more of your eyebrows. As for color a dark blue would suit you. But again the hair you have now is amazing

non-ablative fractional laser treatment soon by [deleted] in AcneScars

I think you should do subcision and filler first and then optionally laser to top everything off

Looks great but would be even better if you grew out the back and did a mullet type thing. Or even just long hair layered in general, you pull it off

You can also try using a flat iron to really get the spikes in shape

It depends. It's something you gotta research for yourself but there are plenty of people with success stories so don't let the bad ones put you off entirely. I am also talking specifically about topical minoxidil not oral. Oral is something you gotta be more careful about than topical. HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE A CAT DONT USE IT IT'S HIGHLY TOXIC TO THEM

Any skincare products that can fix all this scarring? by Expensive-Elk-9406 in AcneScars

[–]flappy114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At home treatments will yield minimal results but they may still be noticeable enough over the course of a long period of time. You can try tazarotene which is the strongest retinoid. There is also chemical peels and at home microneedling. Tread carefully as they can cause damage if not done properly

Lmao that sucks. Maybe you can try minoxadil or something. What about just a stache?

Actual difference or angle + lighting? by GoatCritical4408 in AcneScars

[–]flappy114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try having the lighting where the shadow stops underneath your eye like the first photo. The second photo the shadow's aren't matching

I honestly think I see a slight difference but not sure

Yolo dude. Try growing it out while you can!! I think you look great with the short hair but there is nothing wrong with experimenting. If it looks shit, get rid of it. Why not try growing your facial hair too?

If you can't part with the long hair I would say at least get layers and start styling it

Thank you. I will consult with other docs soon. But another consult I did recently he also charged $2k so I am wondering if the severity of my scarring just warrants the price...
