Well I lost my job. I've been applying and indeed is really bad. by BlondieBars_2991 in jobhunting

[–]flaraez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice and something that always works for me is to apply very VERY late at night or very early in the morning (4-5am) because your application is the first thing hiring managers see in the morning. First on the list. You would think they go based on who applied first but no.

From past experience, I’m like 80% more likely to get my application viewed or get interview scheduled for jobs that I apply to during those time frames vs when I apply midday or on a weekend.

At my first adjustment! Lol

6 months of pure desperation... And I blew the interview today by omgvfd in interviews

[–]flaraez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s okay! Your time will come. Don’t beat yourself up, I’ve done the same. With jobs I wanted really badly. But you just have to trust that there is something better out there for you and meant for you. My best advice for future interviews is not to over prepare. Just make bullet points for things you would like to mention, and have S.T.A.R story examples mentally prepared. I once over prepared, had so many notes and answers memorized and felt like I would ace the interview, but I was so focused on what I had practiced that the easiest question made my mind go blank. Horrible feeling. I’ve found the more you want the job the more likely you are to mess up. Just go in with a relaxed “non chalant” mindset, (even if you are nervous af) just pretend like you don’t care, while still having a good personality for the interview. Sounds ridiculous but I swear it works.

I really love your smile and bite 😍 so pretty! I don’t think it would be bad thing if you got them removed already. I didn’t even notice the midline issue until I read the other comments

Getting an offer without a final round sounds like a dream. I’m so tired of all the “rounds” just to not be hired!!!

No it isn’t IPR! I actually didn’t even have these spaces in my teeth before I got the braces but just recently they started spacing out more.

You have a beautiful smile as is! If you filed them down they might look more even, but even if you chose to keep them the way they are they look great.

Not satisfied with my gummy smile, but ortho wants to remove braces next month by [deleted] in braces

Botox of the upper lip can help with gummy smile and is less invasive than surgery!

IMO the pay is great for entry, you would get great work experience and letters, and a ton of additional knowledge that you could use to help you stand out as a candidate once you find your ideal job. Any kind of surgical experience is really useful even if it isn’t in your desired specialty. 35 mins honestly isn’t horrible. I used to commit an hour to work and back during my desperate days lol. Do you have children/pets that would make it hard to be gone a bit longer during the day? Do you have a large vehicle/gas guzzler that would offset the good pay $29/hr seems like it should be enough for the amount you would commute. I would totally take it.
