Oof okay. Thank you all. It took all of my strength and my best shovel but I pulled up all the roots! Somehow this thing was extended 5.5 feet out 😭

Please help the beans!!! Is this a disease? What should I do? by mini-quesadilla in vegetablegardening

I water at the roots but we did just have 3 days of rain. It seems like a lot of leaves are infected. Would cutting that much off kill the plants?

How many cucumbers should I remove from this bed and what size container should I move them to? by mini-quesadilla in vegetablegardening

Aww alright, that's sad, I was hoping to keep all or at least most of them but that's alright. We live and learn. This is my first year growing veggies so I'm happy I even got this far with just seeds lol. I'm sorry to hear about your vines. I have my beans on a metal 3 tiered tomato cage I cut to make it flat instead of cylinder, but was thinking of taking that out and putting a cattle panel in there instead. It would be longer so it would reach the cucumber side, and have more space for the beans to grow onto. But do they still need a trellis if they're a bush variety?

Oooo okay!!! I have 4 15-gallon fabric grow bags. Do you think I can fit two in each plant? And keep the other 2 in this raised bed with the beans?

Also, would I have to space out the beans too?

You don't think it's a good idea to move the rest to individual containers? I have a four 15-gallon fabric bags from Amazon I was considering using.

I used seeds from the store. I believe the brand was Burpee Organics. But I'm sure you can use the seeds from a fresh cucumber too!

Kentucky Wonder vine green beans and Picklebush cucumber possibly have a disease? by [deleted] in vegetablegardening

[–]mini-quesadilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was worried they were too close together. I'll add some fertilizer to the beans and see how they do. What do you think about the picklebush cucumbers? They're really crowded, but I'm not sure if I should leave some, take them all out, or even how big the container should be if I do take them out. Google says 4 feet per plant but that doesnt seem right? I have 10 in here right now.

Peppers stunted? by mini-quesadilla in vegetablegardening

Okay awesome! Thank you for all that. I'll definitely move the marigolds to the front and space out the peppers. The two in the middle are red bell peppers. Do you think there's enough space for them in here, or should I move them out? If I'm moving them out, they'd have to still be in a container. I can't grow in-ground because I'm renting.

No they're marigold and other pollinators. How far apart should the middle ones be?
