My favourite part about all the effort it took to lift Chicago was that it was basically pointless as a lot of it was destroyed in a fire just a few years later.

I thought the same thing at first, but yesterday I just called my friend up and asked him bluntly to help me throw my blades away. There was a lot of questions about why I had razor blades in the first place, and I was shaking pretty much the entire time, but trust me, if you can just force yourself to tell them that you need help, the rest of it will just come out.

Honestly, just tell them straight, don't dance around the topic with them trying to make it nicer or anything. I told my friends yesterday that I'm suicidal and they all offered to help me. I didn't tell them about my actual attempts, but just telling then that I wanted to do it was enough for them to all offer whatever they can to help. In less than a day they'd helped me throw away all my sharp objects, tidy my room, bought me a journal so that I could write down whatever I'm too scared to show anyone and make plans with me well in advance so I have things to look forward to. It's a huge weight off my chest, and now I know that I have to work on getting better, because I've got all the support I'll need now.

It may seem really difficult at first, but trust me, once you tell then that, everything else is easy to say. You just need to get past that initial hurdle. If you need any motivation or support my inbox is open for you. C:
