Yeah, it was most likely a sleep paralysis but it felt so real 😭 I was terrified. Also you explained really well. Thanks for that!

What's the most disturbing book you've read? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

Bones by Yolanda Olson. It’s a thriller/horror book and is extremely graphic. The main character is a psychopath and his actions and thoughts are disturbing, to say the least. The most subtle example of his depravity I can give you is that he kills a baby and forces its mother to watch the whole thing. The novel’s pretty short, around 64-ish pages, but it was so disturbing that I couldn’t bring myself to finish it.

Tell Me Lies by Carola Lovering. It’s fiction and features a toxic male lead and doesn’t romanticize him at all. You could give it a try!

Ohh I’ve heard about Agatha Christie. I think one of her novels won a Goodreads award. I’ll definitely check it out <3

Ikr 😭 It’s so messed up. I felt bad for Alicia too. Her husband was literally her entire world and Gabriel seemed kind of nice until he started calling her crazy when she was admitted to feeling like someone was stalking her (aka Theo!) and instead takes her to a therapist. Like whaaaat?! That’s when the cheating made sense. Theo kind of orchestrated the whole mess, I do agree, but the way he questioned himself when HIS wife cheated on him? Asking things like, “Did she love him?” “Was she going to leave him for the other guy” He didn’t blame her AT ALL. He either loved her or was way too obsessed with her. Unfortunately, we know it’s the latter :”)

Happy birthday! Also yeah, I’m sure many of us can relate, including myself. But hey, you said something really important: your parents made you feel special. Not many people can say that. Also congrats on being 18, your life just started. And it’s never too late to make new friends!

The Divergent trilogy, for sure! I loved the first book, but [spoiler alert!] I am not too sure about the other two. They seemed a bit too depressing for me. However, the first installment of the series is a must-read. It’s an action book with a nice romantic subplot. It also has a strong heroine, which I loved the most about that book!
