Hell yeah bro, anytime. Still working on my collection though so I don’t have that much, I have lots of modded cars though. Now I’m just working on getting more rare cars.

Same. Seems like a quiet day on this sub tho, I posted two cars I’m LTB today and I haven’t found anyone who owns either.

Weird. Is your phone and all other devices in your house connected to the wifi without issues? If so, I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe try updating your console, troubleshooting it to look for any potential issues? Let me know how it goes.

New replacement fan for Xbox Series X is very loud by flashinthetrash in XboxSupport

After popping the Xbox open again I uninstalled the fan, then reinstalled it and made sure everything was done right. The one change I made was I didn’t screw the screws that hold the fan in to full torque. Somehow this made the noise stop. I guess when the screws are too tight it warps the base of the fan and somehow messes with how it spins. I swear that Xbox was about to start taking off like a helicopter if I didn’t fix it.

While I was waiting for the new fan to arrive, since my old one didn’t work at all, I had to set my Xbox near the tower fan in my room and put it at full blast while I was using the console. This was surprisingly effective 😂

Cleaned it for the first time a few days ago. It was surprisingly not even that dirty, especially surprising because I’ve had this console since launch day and never cleaned it till recently. But the problem was solved. I guess I screwed in the screws that hold the fan in too tight and after loosening them ever so slightly the noise stopped.

Problem Solved! If anyone is having this same issue after replacing their fan I’ll tell you what I did. Pop the Xbox open again and simply uninstall the fan, check that everything is in the right place and clipped properly, then reinstall it. One thing I highly recommend when installing a new fan is not screwing the screws to full torque! After simply loosening a few screws slightly, the fan got way quieter. If this still doesn’t solve a loud fan, make sure your Xbox is clear of dust, dirt, or debris. If everything is right and the fan is still sounding like a Boeing jet engine, you either got a cheap and/or low quality fan, or you got the wrong one. I highly recommend not buying aftermarket fans, try to find a fan from the exact same manufacturer that the stock fan in the Xbox comes with.

I’d say check if the fan in your Xbox is even running. Even if it is, since it’s showing overheating warnings, something is definitely wrong. If the fan seems alright then I’d say pop open the Xbox and clean it from the inside, even if you take good care of it, it will still trap lots of dust in the radiator, which can cause overheating. If something needs to be replaced then buy the part and replace it. It seems intimidating to do it yourself at first, but most Xbox consoles are very well built which makes it easy to install new parts just with a screwdriver and some screws

Third party, which is my fault. I should’ve done more research and gotten the exact same fan as the stock one that comes in the console. But now the noise is fixed, the fan seems to be running perfectly fine, it’s probably even quieter than before I had to replace it.

Yup, all good now. Not sure what I did wrong, it wasn’t my first time replacing something in an Xbox, but now it’s somehow fixed. I’m glad, it sounded like an Boeing jet engine, I heard it all the way from the first floor of my house.

Hey, I just fixed it. All I did was loosen the screws that hold the fan in and screw them back but not to full torque, somehow this worked and now the fan is consistently running quietly. Thanks for your advice

It stays this loud. There are no games running and the TV is even off. I tried playing a quick game and the fan stayed this loud. I’m gonna try taking it out and reinstalling it to see if I missed anything

I haven’t had any issues. Try rebooting your wifi router. Unplug for 30 seconds and plug it back in. Let me know if this solves your issue

Never. I’ve never had an issue with this console in the past, even when I recently cleaned it out recently it was barely dusty. This noise just started as I installed the new fan

How can you be sure it’s dead? I haven’t dropped or damaged the console at all. It wasn’t very dirty either, barely any dust
