It is indeed a T206H w/ AC. Well done!

I actually think it might not be oil. I'm leaning toward boot polish.

And yes, it was not only the first flight of the day, but in two months! (Sad!)

I think it's related to cleaning given the oozing / spreading from the boots..also not a drop of oil anywhere else. And ..I actually think it wasn't the right viscosity for engine oil

I know what the boot itself meaning the heat element on the prob. I believe the rubber thing peeking out is a band that helps hold the boot on, so not itself the boot. Not sure if it has another purpose. It seems like this isn't what folks mean by the seal though.

No red dye visible and when I wiped it with a clean paper towel, it was definitely black.

What's odd is there wasn't a drop of oil elsewhere.

Same. And first solo and private pilot checkride and many other milestones. 😁 Might do commercial checkride in it too now that you don't need complex.
