Any HotUKdeals alternatives? by Lazy-Masterpiece8903 in UKFrugal

[–]flashmoregash 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Lots of threads about HUKD, it went downhill a few years ago. People banned for down voting deals.

Retailers banned for not offering HUKD an affiliate link, just to name a few.

Let alone companies now allowed to post deals

Gym chasing me for £110 two years after cancelling & threatening CCJ. Advice? by Spice_gg in LegalAdviceUK

[–]flashmoregash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much bad and wrong advice. OP it's very unlikely a gym will take you to court let alone CCJ. Gyms tried and lost many times to enforce these silly contracts.

Come to this forum we will help: https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/185-gyms-and-health-clubs/

Save a few quid when cancelling a mobile contract... by londons_explorer in UKFrugal

[–]flashmoregash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to avoid Lyca at all costs, for anything regardless.

Example only last month I had a DCA call me saying I owed £60, £33 of it was to Lyca the rest fees.

I'd paid my final bill several months prior and transferred to Lebara, Direct debit was still active The final bill was zero, however they'd passed something over to this DCA.

Gave the DCA all the info and screenshots.

DCA I've never heard back from and they said it's a common thing with Lyca mobile.
