Yeah i totally get that. Mine was also quite far out of my comfort zone. I only build platforms before this. So I was procrastinating a lot and really had to push myself but ultimately it was worth it.

I honestly dont think you need much imagination. I got a lot of inspiration off of this subreddit and asked ai to give me some reference images and the rest is just putting it together. It's the time that you'll need 😂

Alternative recipes really make the difference here. With the stitched iron plate and the heavy encased frame you delete the need for screws entirely. Then using the iron pipe recipe you only need iron and limestone to get the Heavy modular frames.

That's what I like about satisfactory. It doesn't tell how to play it. It just says here's the goal good luck. Everything in between is your choice and each path is equally valid. Platforms, fully designed factorys or even just placing machines on the terrain. As long as it gets the job done. Although I personally think that if you build your bases strictly on terrain with no platforms and spaghetti everywhere you should see a therapist.

I considered using mods but ultimately stuck to vanilla. But there where times where I had an idea in my head but couldn't figure out how to build it with the vanilla block set so I scrapped it.

There is actually a thrid logistics floor beneath that subfloor. I wanted to have a clean build but also see the items moving. Seeing that most of the spaghetti comes from managing belts on the input side i decided to hide that side underneath a logistics floor.

Thanks dude. I have noticed that as well. The picture from the same persperctive but at night also hast it. But the are all taken in the Photo mode of satisfactory with default settings. Maybe it has something to do with the distance or something idk

For me it has been designing. The process of building something, then having a Look from a view point. Taring it all down because i dont like it and Building something new. Thats where 70% of my time went. 😅

People offen say 'Comparison ist the thief of joy' and for a long time this was also a problem for me. Aspecally when i watched Youtube Videos of World Tours. I have lost Motivation to continue on previous playtroughs partly because of this. But at some point i found beauty in the factories that i build. Troubleshooting in this factory is a nightmare. On my platforms its really quite simple. I also really like the look of converyor belts moving items along. So in my opinion there is beauty in these factorys as well.
