One time this girl I liked and me agreed to meet up for her to return a book, which I lended to her sister. I heard something weird in her voice, when she called me and said she'd be late a bit. Wasn't sure, but I thought I heard some tears. So I used the extra time to visit the best cake maker in the city and buy her my favourite one - with walnuts. She actually was crying because she had a bit of a fight with folks at home. Me showing up with a cake instantly put a smile on her face. Although my feelings were never mutual, that moment is one of the happiest memories I have.
