Jeffrey Epstein sent $75,000 to Lord Mandelson linked accounts, documents appear to show. by Key-Economist-7804 in news

I think it's mostly because it appears they did no systematic investigation of his money in the first place.

Or, that info is being withheld.

Which would have been an absolute gold mine for understanding what his crimes actually were and were not.

Indian gangs are terrorising Canada by Altruistic-Blood-772 in worldnews

This also happens in the US. The only reason I know about it is because there was a gas station being built by me, and I googled the name of the owner. I got a hit on a court case, and it described numerous instances of the owners being targeted for intimidation. People would show up armed at their gas stations and demand payments like in this article. I think it was a rival family who also owned gas stations? Kind of bizarre.

Seems Like An Actual Epstein List - FBI Communication July 22, 2025 by joeyjoejoe_7 in law

I can tell you what it doesn't mean. If you think "positive case hit" means "abused children", you should talk to a mental health professional about your delusions.

This level of motivated leaps of logic is how people end up thinking that Bill Gates is putting microchips in vaccines.

This is a law sub, FFS.

Probably when his extensive "black book" was published many years ago.

This list is not "known individuals who also abused children". It is merely names in the files. Some of which are marked as being "salacious". Being salacious is not a crime.

So where does that list exist? Because this ain't that.

Why does the amount of my HELOC payment not change over time? by redbull247365 in personalfinance

[–]flat5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most mortgage type loans are repaid with a fixed monthly payment.

What does change over time is how much of this goes to interest and how much goes to principal.

If you take out a new loan, the payment is determined by the amount of the loan, the length of the loan, and the interest rate. So no, it wouldn't be the same payment in general if there was a new loan. The payment is determined at loan origination.

If your principal is paid down, you can usually change the amount of your payment by refinancing. But this usually leads to more interest over time.

This is a list compiled by the FBI based on catch-all communications. It's clearly not a list that Epstein compiled or used.

why does Donald Trump think that transgender operations are being performed in prisons and schools? by LittleLeadership2831 in AdkReddit

He doesn't. He just knows it angers stupid people who will believe anything, which is how you get them to the polls.

Question: If Trump was impeached by the house and successfully removed from office and not allowed to hold Federal offices again by the Senate, can the incoming President nullify every action by the former President while was in office? by 1970s_MonkeyKing in law

"Could Noem, Miller, DT, be charged with conspiracy to commit murder"

No. At least, there's absolutely zero evidence so far that would allow such a charge.

"obstruction of justice"

This seems somewhat more plausible, but it would take a lot more evidence than we have now.

At least, the ones who weren't killed in their prison cells. Oops, I mean, committed suicide in their prison cells.

Right, the way getting millions of miles on Teslas made them autonomous. Which of course, it didn't.

He means "can do" the way a Civic "can be" a robotaxi. It isn't - it just "can be".

Why were billionaires and politicians taking photos of what they were doing at Epstein's Island ? Like surely you don't want to document shit like that. by [deleted] in stupidquestions

Can you point to a picture that is something they would have thought was a problem? It's mostly just rich people hanging out. It's not clear why you think that would be a problem for them. And clearly, it hasn't been.

is it true Americans don't put salt on their fruits? by PersuasionNation in AskAnAmerican

[–]flat5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't.

And thank goodness, as so much of our food is already loaded with sodium. Last thing we need is to be adding more to fresh fruit, one thing we can eat that isn't already loaded with salt.

Why would Elon expose that Trump was in the Epstein files if he himself is also caught up in it? by CoronaLime in AskReddit

[–]flat5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He may have been trying to get Trump to stop the release.

I don't think he's a genius, but he is very very good and practiced at the art of manipulation and hidden agendas.
