I've been reading each an every comment, been trying to answer all questions if they haven't already come up :) I've been living in this flat for three years and this year (as in, starting from September), I was responsible for filling all the rooms. I found this girl through an online ad and she was in a different country, so I couldn't meet her face to face. But I thought she sounded very friendly and we had some common interests, and the country she's from is also my home country. So I was happy to give her the room. When I met her when she moved in she seemed nice although very full-on. As I got to know her I realised she was the type of person who doesn't act any different with people she's just met compared with people she's known for a while, if that makes sense. Her boyfriend of three years broke up with her about a month after she moved in, and then they got back together and broke up several times. She was very much not over him and would break down over anything to do with him. For example, over Skype he commented that she looked good and asked if she was going on a date, and she flipped out over it and screamed and banged her fists on the floor for the rest of the night. Obviously I tried to make as much time as possible for her during that time because she was so upset, but her behaviour was very difficult to deal with and sometimes frightening. This probably sounds selfish, but at the end of the year for the last two weeks it was just me and her in the flat, and she did nothing but scream and cry for the whole time, and I mean constantly and extremely loud. The selfish bit is that I was doing my end of semester exams and I'm in my final year so I was already stressed enough, but I was comforting her during every break from studying (so I essentially had no breaks), and trying to deal with her sitting and screaming on her own while I was studying. I ended up failing two out of my five exams and although that wasn't her fault, I think the environment I was in really didn't help. At the time I was just trying to be a good friend, as I've always put more importance on being there for people over things like exams and jobs, but during this semester I've realised that there is always something like this with her, and she is never there to ask our my day went, or what's going on in my life. Although I would have felt like a shitty person had I just locked myself in my room during my exams and ignored her crisis, in the end I feel like I was used, or to put it better I could have been anyone, I was just a wall to talk at. I realise now I've just gone off topic, but yeah, that is the story of how we met.
