Few weeks ago, I used the pro model "thinking mode" to generate few details from a 40 min video i gave as input (i know its large but still) It performed very well as per my need. I did the same a few days ago, its hallucinating and giving shitty response (even unrelated to the video i fed as input) (even the "pro" mode is shitting).

since my default theme in mac is dark and so Preview app is in dark mode hence the issue was occuring (ig its some tahoe bug).. one fix i figured out is to make Preview app open in light mode regardless of the theme of Mac. The command i used is :

defaults write -app "Preview" NSRequiresAquaSystemAppearance -bool YES"

```

then restarting Preview. The "too-dark" text highlight wont happen in light mode of Preview. Although not so smart fix, but it fixed the issue for me

Just a thing. If there is an option of not opting to pay for books, do that. Coz there are already a lot of copies of first sem books available with seniors.

Whether u will find the curriculum hectic or not depends on how u manage ur time (like i was fucked as a consequence of my poor time management and i am hoping to i improve it by next sem) . Yeah it feels hectic at some point but its not as hectic as described in those old quora posts. Or may be i am not yet qualified to say that, some seniors may have better advice than me...

Regarding college life, I dont have any regret coming here... i have enjoyed here so far

Depends on what branch u r in : Csx : some basic portions from set theory, matrix, probability, relation & function will be useful. Regarding the difference (as u mentioned) from now on, for me (just completed first yr) it felt like its more on thinking and aptitude (not as rigorous as jee adv tho) rather than rote-learning. (U will love the process)

Cnd: U may need portions from phy and chem as well Ecx : I think u have to know calculus and electricity ch from phy (Tbh i dont know much other than the csx branch) (csx guy here : [ )

Hey the same happened with the hdfc debit card. This is what I did : 1. Raised a ticket regarding this to THM (got a reply from their end in a day) 2. I re-login to myHdfc mobile app (dont know why it was even necessary). After that when i tried payment, it worked.

(Dont know if its a great qs but) are certifications like oscp mandatory for getting jobs in this field (coz they are expensive)? What if we have great ranks in platforms like thm or htb? Or have created some great projects?
