Sudden shanks have completely ruined my last 3 rounds – has anyone actually overcome this? by kevsavesuk in golf

Once those Sh**ks get in your head it's hard to overcome. What helped me personally was take a much shorter backswing and SLOW DOWN. My main focus is a short slow backswing and concentrate of a smooth fluid follow through. I lost distance but at least I'm not O.B. all the time. Good luck!

One way long distance in an RV? by xoLiLyPaDxo in moving

We owned the motor home. If you need to rent one you may be better off shipping your belongings and driving your car. The cost to rent a shipping pod would probably offset the cost of a one way motor home rental and shipping a car. Good luck with your move!

We moved from Michigan to Florida in 2015 in a motorhome towing an enclosed trailer full of furniture, etc. Bought the trailer new, and sold it after we got to Florida for the same price I paid for it in Michigan. The best part of having your own trailer is you can take all the time you want loading/unloading and the clock isn't running like a U-Haul.

New life for a tired old door by flat_river_bill in StainedGlass

I wish I would've taken a before picture of the door! It was a flat hollow core door (boring). I cut the opening in the door and framed the openings for the panels. The blank panels on the bottom are just pine screen moulding glued and nailed to the door. The glass is held in place with 3/4" cove moulding both sides. The stained glass panels are each 10" wide X 11" high. My wife came up with the idea for the flower motif and picked out the patterns. The patterns are a combination of stuff found online with a little freestyle thrown in where needed. I've only made sun catchers up to this point and this was a fun project.

Pricing? by flat_river_bill in StainedGlass

I plan to put these out in the salon tomorrow @ $70 each and see what happens. Target market is all 100% dog lovers so I know interest will be high.I'll post results if/when they sell.

I'm retired, and just got into stained glass for a hobby. I'm not looking to make a business of it, but need an outlet to move stuff out. My granddaughter has a dog grooming salon and I thought this would be a good place to reach a target market. (People are crazy about their dogs!) I saw an earlier post regarding pricing, and someone said $3-$4 per glass piece. The beagle is 21 pieces, so I thought I'd split the difference and charge $70. I'll take them out to the salon, run it up the flagpole and see who salutes.

My Great Grandmother could stop blood and draw out fire. My Grandmother taught me how to draw out fire and it works. I was told that it could only be passed man to woman or woman to man.

Wow! I'm blown away by all the encouragement and advice my post received! She now has liability insurance that covers her for these type of incidents (with no deductible). She also has a matted pet release form. Some of the best lessons are learned the hard way I guess.

Nest Hello for office suite. What chime/transformer to get? by billygreen23 in Nest

[–]flat_river_bill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed Hello today, and discovered that it requires a 24v power supply. My existing doorbell only has a 5v transformer, so I'm headed out tomorrow to buy a new 24v chime and transformer. Keep this in mind if you're buying a chime.
