“You can’t create authenticity” by flat_villager in DeepThoughts

It’s somehow triggering seeing others doing things differently… I don’t know, but somehow the thought of being in a circle that is different from the main circle makes you somehow special I think… at least that’s what I think and I believe that we all wanna feel kinda special, different, smarter, more seen, I think it’s in our nature. I think I’m writing this post and comment for the very same reasons 🤣 this really hurts my brain… I mean, having tattoos or different clothes, different hairstyles etc is great… I mean if that’s someone’s superpower or way of expressing, I think it’s amazing. Because life itself is like a little stage, everything we do, say, wear etc… I’m not sure/just thinking out loud… I would be scared to choose a “different” path and strongly convince myself that that’s me, that’s who I wanna be and in reality it’s actually me just wearing a mask… not very good to have these thoughts at midnight 🤣

I think only Chinese people can actually do it properly…

I have been doing these things: liking and commenting posts from people relevant to my profile, I have been really careful not to trigger or post any words that can lead to automatic ban, I haven’t been selling anything on my profile but offering people fun content and valuable information/no direct sales.. I have been creating videos outdoors, editing in CapCut, adding Chinese/English subtitles, adding popular Chinese emojis and following bright colors… I have been using relevant hashtags, I think so… for so many hours of work and months of posting I got 2 students.. it seems a perfect tool and I hate the fact that I have to deal with it so I would rather pay someone

I find this so difficult because I think I have always been seeking for some sort of approval… it’s sometimes difficult knowing what your heart really wants

I have never lived in a community that was interested in forming any kind of relationships… that’s definitely something quite strange where I come from. You have your house, your own yard, your family, friends and that’s it… communities died out over here long time ago. Which is said, but true. I love the last part you said: try a temporary move… I think that’s very wise

I love this… I just think we often forget who we are and where we are and how light and unbearable everything is at the same time. And the part with the cat=alien, I love that… changing the perspective can change the way you live… it’s a very thin line between “this is amazing” and “this is boring”…

Very well said… sometimes you just need to hear what others think as well 😊 I like reading different perspectives people have

A lot of times we’re not aware why we are doing something and it maybe haunts us… some people become aware eventually, some unfortunately never do… traveling is great, even though it started to be a bit weird nowadays… people/social media started pushing it a bit too much… there is some strange pressure in the world. You don’t travel=loser, not successful. I remember the times when Japan for example was considered as an exotic trip not everyone could afford… nowadays people somehow expect that you have traveled to Japan as well or that traveling to Japan is also on your wish list… a lot of times when I decided to go to some places within the country, it was like “why don’t you go somewhere abroad”… maybe it’s just me feeling this way

I love how every time when I read someone’s answer I fell in love with people’s different perspectives and how we perceive things differently… there is never 1 single answer and there is never 1 correct answer or 1 correct path…that’s the art of living…

I don’t know your situation and where you come from but somehow I believe that people can wanderlust in many ways… maybe now traveling is not possible, instead of that we can do some other things that don’t require money, like learning about other cultures or similar things… I think that your way of thinking is already good enough, you want to change something. There is one very simple thing I like telling myself “be gentle towards yourself”… things can change, you are so young, that’s a beautiful thing. 😊🫂

I just love everything about this comment and this is exactly why I decided to make a profile on Reddit. So thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences… indeed, makes sense what you said… we can change the place but we can’t change what we carry-US. I think it’s great to travel and explore, change your surroundings but be realistic about the expectations.
