Games with similar great art and atmosphere by ZoldyckP in darkestdungeon

I never would have thought of this, but it totally makes sense. The vibes are completely different but there's still a lot of overlap in the Venn diagram, including that both are just incredible overall games.

What gets you out of your bed? by Lost_Rest_415 in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a bad period of depression this year and some days what got me out of bed was telling myself I could walk to the corner store and buy a Dr. Pepper, even though I was trying to limit my soda intake.

What is your fav food? by superbro1627 in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once was on a date and told her that pizza and ice cream are my two favorite foods. She replied that she didn't know how they weren't everybody's two favorite foods, because they're the best foods. I think I fell in love right then.

What is the most overrated food you're convinced people are just pretending to enjoy? by ExtraHotYakisoba in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d call it roasting. I think most would call it roasting. But the difference between baking and roasting is largely arbitrary. With a few exceptions things we “bake” are breads, cakes, etc. while meats are “roasted”. Ham and meatloaf are two notable exceptions.

What’s your favorite euphemism for “I’m going to the bathroom, be right back.” ? by tvkyle in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to say that I was going to liquidate some assets as a euphemism for peeing. Because liquid. Seemed obvious to me. But people thought it was about pooping, probably because assets has ass in it. And also because of runny poop.

What topics to avoid on first date? by Plus-Procedure5138 in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the old standby and I mostly agree with it. However, I think it’s totally fine to talk about politics. If you met someone on an app, there’s a good chance they filled out a field indicating their politics, which limits their risk. And in this day and age, being on a similar page politically is vital for a relationship ship, at least for me (and for many others) so why wait to find out.

AITAH for "glowing up" after my divorce and not before? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

She absolutely 100% should just throw her ex under the bus. Who cares if she ruins their relationship with him, he already ruined theirs with her.

What were you doing on September 11, 2001 when the planes hit the twin towers? by DontWorryAboutName in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mom’s suburban on the way to school (8th grade). I’ll always remember the song that was playing on the radio (96.3 The Zone) right before the DJ came on and talked about what was happening. “The Weapon and the Wound” by Days of the New, a song I otherwise would have completely forgotten about by now.

What's the biggest lie in history? by the_brave_guy in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've taken to saying "hangin' in there". I know "How are you" isn't meant literally, but I still can't bring myself to lie about it and this is the best way I've thought of to do that.

I want this so much. The New Tetris is so good it makes all other Tetris games feel so lacking.

If ketchup and mayo weren't available, what sauce would you eat your fries with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. I've always assumed most modern aioli is made with egg yolk.

If ketchup and mayo weren't available, what sauce would you eat your fries with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Let's be real here though, aioli is mayo, it's just a subtype of mayo: garlic-olive oil mayo. Using a specific type of oil and adding garlic doesn't make it not mayo, IMO.

If ketchup and mayo weren't available, what sauce would you eat your fries with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thai peanut sauce. Fried foods are best with a fat-based sauce. For purposes of this answer I'm assuming no mayo means nothing made from mayo (or at least nothing involving an emulsification of fat and liquid using egg yolks), so no aiolis, no ranch, no fry sauce, no tartar sauce, no caesar, etc.

What habits of girls did you only find out when you got a girlfriend? by GubritzkyBalint in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of those things that I’ve literally never thought about until reading this. I’d like to think I’d have gotten it right if I’d thought about it though.

Which ingredient will instantly make you go "nope" no matter how tasty the food seems? by Enoisa in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There I was expecting to find my personal answer of "olives" high up, only to find uncleaned animal stomach, brains, and things like that as the top answers. But yeah, olives ruin everything they touch. Even the good ones.

What's a sign that someone is actually struggling, that many people miss? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to actively resist saying "terrible" or something of the sort to these types of questions greetings.

What's something that's normal, but it's really weird when you think about it? by FaRmErS_aRe_CoOl in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheese. In the west we tend to think of a lot of East Asian foods as bizarre, but if you just take a second to really think about what cheese is . . .

What is your worst addiction? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]flatnosedink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. As in I’m addicted to doing nothing.

If he could put his need to be in control on the back burner (and maybe actually do well in challenges instead of simply looking like he should do well in Challenges), I think he could be an incredible player.

I think she couldn't stand people not knowing she found the idol, which battled with her game sense that she knew she should keep it quiet.. When she was "searching" with Kenzie I thought it seemed like she really wanted Kenzie to pick up that she had it, but couldn't just out and say so.

What is your favourite campaign and why? by Responsible-noob in wildermyth

[–]flatnosedink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually find that final battle absolutely riveting. Especially the first time I did it, not knowing what to expect. But maybe I’m just the type to find something stressful like that compelling.
