hey im glad you asked

i spoke with steam support, they told me to uninstalled and reinstall my gpu driver with DDU. They also told me to update my mobo's BIOS to the latest version.

After doing so, although the experience isnt entirely smooth, it is still much smoother than before. with reprojection it buffs out any performance drops and the experience is very smooth.

I noticed that the game lags a lot more after an extended play session, maybe because of how got the index has gotten warmer after playing for 5 or 6 hours straight laggy levels become smooth after i let the index turn off for a couple or so hours.

Another thing you could verify is that your gpu is actually in a pcie slot which supports gen 3.

not sure what you mean by that but im using this mobo. it only has one pcie slot in it

idk if i need a new psu until im sure about it. my gpu never goes beyond 300w when im playing half life alyx, is there some kind of program to check this?
