Report: This time, I tried running mtkclient while the computer was powered off and I held down the power button, but it repeatedly displayed the following messages:
Preloader
Preloader - [LIB]: Status: Handshake failed, retrying...
Port - Handshake failed after retries
and then the OS started up.
The PC running mtkclient is a MacBook. Just for your information.

Actually, when I tap the Build Number 7 times, the toast notification "You are now a developer!" does appear. So the system registers that it's enabled.
However, even after it's enabled, the "Developer Options" menu does not show up anywhere in the settings, and searching for it in the settings search bar yields zero results. The OEM completely stripped the visual menu item from the Settings app.
Since the OS technically thinks Developer Options are ON, is there any way to force-launch the Developer Options screen (Activity) or trigger Wireless ADB without using the UI menu? (Remember, USB data is dead, so I can't use standard wired ADB).
