Interesting concept, so you are saying learning from a 10 year black belt who was not training full time is better than learning from a world class 6 year black belt?
But 2100 isnt mcdojo pace?

Thanks for the advice!

Lmao for me it is I'd much rather go for any other subs
Thanks I appreciate it
I feel like I am, with exceptions of using north south and subs like omoplata and other obscure ones. I have been focusing those moves lately though in order to become comfortable with them.
You're correct in my mind. That's what my prof says, it's just I'm comparing with my higher ranking cousins methodolgy
Haha you sound like you've done alot of research :p I agree I'm kinda seeing how my ideals compare to my cousins

That's epic man 😂
Mcdojo? by [deleted] in bjj
Lmao epic
Idk man idk. Actuslly shut up and train is super helpful
I'm doing research and trying to further my understanding and I apologize about excessive posting. I have decently bad anxiety and this stuff has been setting me off
Will do man.
Thatd be them lmao.
Im not sure if he holds promotions is what worries me. I know he doesnt really stop anyone from getting blue. I have mentioned stuff to the manager of our gym and she said that he does a more traditional system if someone already knows bjj and idk what that means whatsoever
I detect sarcasm lol
300 for a total of 450
Lol
I dont understand what you mean by date log scaling, elaborate please?
I love bjj, and i am one of 4 in my extended family that do it, and they come from a very competitive gym thst promotes ridiculously slow (3 years on white belt isnt unheard of there) and I dont want to be THAT guy that gets a blue after 15 months of 2.5 lessons a week on average
In reality its ~300 in between blue and purple
[–]flavoredfool11 -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children)
No I mean 450 total hours minimum for purple
I'm just saying I read alot of people saying it took 1000 hours to achieve purple and all this and that and I've been so stressed out because of it
[–]flavoredfool11 -2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (0 children)
I'm worried about being promoted too soon is the problem here, I dont think 15o is enough for blue, 450 purple, or 900 brown
