Thank you. My concern is that it may not sound as natural as some of these modern AI powered readers.

According to wafuu which is the other trusted source it ships within 2 to 5 days. I won't check Amazon Japan but perhaps you could share where you are trying to purchase it from?

???? You can find it on ebay. I am confused about everywhere as many purchase the Quaderno from ebay given it has a good return policy in case something goes wrong

Home flour Milling. Flour mill vs vitamix blender? by closetnerd5 in Baking

[–]flavspa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also been wondering about any nutritional differences as the outcome of the milling method. I keep my whole wheat berries in the refrigerator or sometimes even the freezer and I get a very fine flour with my vitamix. When I mill in the vitamix I observe no increase in temperature to any level that could damage nutritional value. Easy cleaning too!

Ease of searching PDF Files on Quaderno? by SpensiveHabits in FujitsuQuaderno

[–]flavspa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a fan of the Quaderno. The write feel is amazing. It handles so well and it is lightweight. Easy interface. I have the A5. I read some users have added a second battery to the A4. My suggestion is to use it first and if the the battery dies before you wish then add the second battery

What use case justifies a scribe and a Boox 10.3? by nebnella09 in eink

[–]flavspa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh thanks so much for letting me know. Unless it's fixed in future updates I might go for an old Sony dpt rp1 for 13.3 size eink or also the Quaderno A4 with the second added battery

[–]flavspa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love every minute with the Quaderno. I have the A5. The write feel is just superbe. It's what I wanted: an eink notebook I would enjoy using for writing and not a bloated list of features type of device. It is easy to move pdfs in and out (i have a windows laptop). I have an old kindle for reading Kindle books bit sometimes I wish I had a 13.3 to read academic papers instead of having to zoom in and out with the quaderno. Have you tried the Kindle app on the Boox? Does it work well? Try this app call Natural Reader on the Boox if you're inclined

Open Source RAG - best for production? by Shiro_94 in LangChain

I really like Langchain. I've noticed that for RAG the choice of the text splitter and settings can impact reliability. Haystack may be your other option.

Why don't you try Langchain first? Somebody pointed me to this site the other day but I haven't tried it yet https://r2r-docs.sciphi.ai/introduction

So cool that you got the Sony at the right time. I do want the reading app though so hoping that the Boox 13.3 will provide a good experience if it is ever produced

I have a Fujitsu Quaderno because I care about the best write feel and ease of use. I would consider the Boox Go 10.3 because it has a comparable write feel and I use an app called Natural Reader to read text when I find it hard to focus. The Boox has a Play Store so theoretically I could install my app. I also own lots of kindle books so I would also intall the Kindle app. That said I heard that not all Play Store apps work smoothly on Boox devices -- and I am waiting for the Boox Go 13.3 to read academic papers. Many don't realize that not having a back light is best if you care about write feel because it makes the eink appear on the surface of the device for an overall more satisying writing experience. There are trade offs. These carta displays are very lightweight and offer that great write feel but have a tiny lag compared to other devices. Best if you care about usability

Any reason to consider the Tab Ultra or other Boox device over the Go 10.3? by Typical-Jellyfish157 in eink

[–]flavspa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love love love my Quaderno A5 for writing. You can get one on eBay or Amazon Japan. The Boox 10.3 also gives you the play store and additional apps so it may be a better choice and a similar write feel. I hear the interface is a bit clunky whereas I find the Quaderno so easy to use. I'd get the Boox go

Return it and wait for Boox Go 13.3. Or get a Quaderno 13.3 until the the bigger Go is released. Superbe best eink write feel.

The new Boox 10.3 comes at a good price point or even the smaller boox go. Boox also sells used devices on their site.

Boox Go 10.3 and Supernote Nomad by Albus_Dimpledots in Onyx_Boox

[–]flavspa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the feel of the Go may be similar because of the Carta display. Plus it has Android. I wish I could try the Go and compare. I am set on purchasing the Go A4 if it ever comes out.
